Pro's Guide to Special Forces Assessment & Selection | Gathering Intel & Mental Preparation

What is the goal of an SF selection process? What exactly will be evaluated? Mike from Project Archangel sets course on the path of getting prepped for a special forces selection & assessment by obtaining the intel about what can you expect in the process.
You will encounter many challenges, but everything comes down to you being able to meet the standard. The typical SF assessment standard will be divided into three elements: teachability, durability, and suitability.

A lot of this stuff interlocks and feeds back. Example- good posture not only makes you feel more confident ("I believe I can do this"), it makes you *look* more confident to others ("He can do this"), who then *treat* you as self-confident ("You can do this"). *That makes you more confident in reality* ("I really can do this!"). The power of psychology is amazing. Took me years to learn that. Now I stand tall all the time.

Fine… I did not expect that!!! Thanks, UF PRO. Mike congratulations, the video you created really moved me, you took me back 33 years, when I was going through my own training. Now at the age of 53 in reserve I remember the training and I miss it, then I saw all the training as a mountain that I had to climb. I think you know that everything you analyze and explain has to do not only with the army but also the attitude we must have for our whole life, our work, our friends, our family. Well done again, you teach a life lesson in a very short time. p.s. I still workout 3 days a week and shoot every weekend in the range. At the end it is all in our mind, our age is what we feel we are. Never give up. Best wishes.

Hey man, thanks for the kind words. You are absolutely right, challenges are challenges whether during selection or during life in general. Every path leads there eventually, and everyones mileage varies, but I feel that the warriors path is a kickstart. Adversity builds character and many young men nowadays are missing out on that.

@@project-archangel Great truth for some young men. Unfortunately, they perceive life as an electronic game, after the game over a new game starts without any effect on them. We lived in another era for sure. Life is much harder and will become even harder in the near future, at least in the area where I live, the only solution is preparation and education. Keep showing the way of the fighter, even one to train is a profit. Well done again.

This, as the gentleman below me said applies to everything, it applies to life itself. Special forces training just puts you in that position more often as they need to know in advance if you'll be able to surmount the obstacles before you actually have to face them in real life. Basically they are prepping you for life.
