I didn’t know why that hook existed until like 2016 when people were talking about using classic controllers and controller extenders that had it on the NES classic.

Thought it would be one of those knockoff "consoles" with some built-in games, but it's actually a real Wii peripheral. Cool.

Looks like one of the candy dispenser toys that have fake hard buttons on them.

PowerA is a refutable third party controller manufacturer, so essentially this is a knock off of a third party product... Amazing.

2:07 Seeing the image for the Power A Pro Pack Mini reminded me that I've actually seen the Power A variant in the flesh before at a Walmart (during the Wii's prime years), I even remember holding the remote with it still in the packaging to get a sense of how much smaller it was compared to the real deal.

i did it 4 days ago lol i recently moved my data to wii u with savegame gx and not shitty wii u transfer software and i'm now not using wii normal anymore

I know not very many people care about this feature, but does it have storage inside of the Wii Remote? (used for games like Pokémon Rumble and Mii Channel).

That's a really good question that I didn't cover so I fired up my original Wii to test it, and I was able to transfer a Mii onto the Pro Pack Mini successfully!

I have an actual Pro Pack Mini. I do remember the buttons being really stiff.

i remember having a wii a few years ago with 1 regular wii remote and 2 power a remotes and then my little sister cut the sensor bar cord

Iirc correctly, if you're super desperate to play a Wii and need a sensor bar but can't get one, you can just light two small candles and they will function the same, as the sensor bar does no sort of interpretation, it only acts as two infrared lights for the Wii remotes sensor to detect.

I never knew that thing on the back of the nunchuck plug actually was for something, and I have no idea why you would need to hook the wrist strap in there

I had this exact controller, if i remember it worked great its just too small even for a kid

3rd party controllers have always been a common thing to find (madcatz anyone?), but I honestly don't think I ever saw someone with a third party Wiimote. Everyone I knew had official ones as far as I remember.

my pro pack mini has a weird 2 button that doesn't even need to be pressed because it's so sensitive i can just blow on it from like a meter and it would register it as a press

and I have a wii remote tied to my wrist right now..

The big, but only problems it had was the two button & the control stick. Other than that, not too bad, right?

Power A is a licensed Nintendo third party, they actually do even Switch controllers nowadays

I'm pretty sure it's a knockoff of those third party controllers. Saw third party ones everywhere back in the Wii days. Some walmarts around me still have the shitty rock candy ones

I bought a third party remote and nunchuck before. They cost about 20 bucks, and lasted about a third the time that official controllers did. So you got what you paid for.

Hi! Thank you for asking, however I would appreciate that you don't directly use my avatars and artwork yourself. I suggest using existing Nintendo artwork as a starting point -- that's how I started off as well :)
