"Pleasure doing business with you, have a Super Mario LCD handheld game" is the most inherently hilarious thing I've heard in a while.

All the wackiness and nostalgia topped with a healthy helping of "ummm, okay" in such a small package! Very interesting indeed.

I keep forgetting that A.K. is a retired HQVGR mashup maker and then bam, 4:15

I love how this opens up exactly the same way that the fast forward gag in the AR Cards video happened.

I had a green one of these growing up so this is a blast from the past for me, although now I think mine wasn't a bootleg like yours.

I find it amusing he called out Ashens at the beginning and says that he's not really seen bootlegs mocking Game and Watch gameplay, when save for minor graphical differences, this is the same bootleg as 'Super Mary' from his Pop Station reviews.

So, it wasn't Mario Phone after all...

I actually had the “Mini Classic Series” Mario G&W a few years back, and bout DK Jr. for one of my friends! Clicking on this video, I knew exactly what this was a bootleg of, and even worried that the version I had bought *was* the bootleg in the video. Turns out I’ve got the real deal!

Ironically, the legit Nintendo Mini Classics also didn’t always accurately replicate the gameplay of the original Game & Watch versions either!

This is basically a review of the original Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch based on a random bootleg. Cool video by the way, didn’t know this bootleg existed until today.

ONLY Ak would make the effort to make a rip that lasts less than 5 seconds to recreate the bootleg tune.

I had a few of those mini classic series handhelds about 15 years ago. Got Marios Cement Factory, Donkey Kong Jr. and Super Mario Bros. Still got two of them but ended up giving the Mario one to a kid I was babysitting at the time since he liked it so much. I think I paid a whopping $20 for all three of them...Not a bad deal for something that plays just like the G&W originals. Never read the manual...Found out about the fire bars the hard way... 😆

I actually used to own an official Mini Classic version of Mario's Cement Factory as a kid, as well as LCD versions of Frogger and Tetris; don't know happened to them, though.

Really liked this video ! Bonus point for adding subtitles, it always help me to improve my English.

Surprising you don't know of the nintendo mini classics yet own a play yan micro. They were everywhere at places like CVS. I had donkey kong jr. and mario's cement factory. Later I was lucky to get an Octopus. They're much cheaper then the real thing (usually) so they make for a great way to start collecting game & watch units.
