Owned the variable internal ND adapter for a while and overall it was convenient to switch lenses, it did have a habit of creating sun flares between the rear lens elements and the front of the ND, so that's something to keep in mind.

Hi Sean and Fotodiox team, I've a pretty specific issue regarding Mamiya Sekor SX f1.8 lens for M42 mount. Do you have an adapter/s that will enable me to use this lens on my Micro four thirds GX80? There is an aperture overhang, which means it won't fit on my usual m42 to mft adapter, plus the notorious aperture pin issue on this lens. I've looked online and the only solution appears to be filing down parts of an adapter and taking the lens apart to remove or alter the pin. Any suggestions or help would be most appreciated!

So, if I'm getting this right, I believe Mzuiko lenses are Micro 4/3 mount, right? If so, we don't make an adapter to go between a Micro 4/3 lens and a Micro 4/3 camera because you can't put extra space between a native lens and native camera and still focus to infinity. You'd be better off just getting screw-in filters to go on the front of those lenses.

@@FotodioxInc Will the EOS to MFT Throttle ND Adapter work on both the Blackmagic OG Pocket Cinema Camera and the 4K versions with MFT mounts? I understand some focal reducers have issues with these cameras, but I haven't had any issues using standard non glass adapters with these cameras for EOS mount glass. Thanks in advance for any clarifications offered; I've searched everywhere but no one has mentioned this yet.

Can you please tell me if you have a Olympus EM10 with this adapter that can fit the EF lenses, does the IS on the canon lens work with the 5-axis IBIS in the Olympus, or does it have to be turned off on the lens, because might conflict. I am looking for a fusion Sony "A" mount lens to a MFT camera Nobody seems to make one. There has got to be a lot of Minolta / Sony "A" mount glass available. The lenses were made for both APS-c and Full Frame, so having a lens to reduce the image would be great. Many of the lenses were for autofocus and camera controlled aperture.

That's to mount a retro Fujica X Lens on a Micro Four Thirds camera. Though it sounds awfully similar, Fujica X was a different lens mount system from the 70's and mid 80's: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fujica_X-mount

Hi Andrew, L-mount lenses have a focal flange distance of 20.00 mm, while the Micro Four Thirds system has a focal flange distance of 19.25 mm. So if we did make an adapter, it would have to be less than a millimeter thick to focus the L-mount lenses to infinity. This is why we don't offer and L to Micro 4/3 adapter at this time. The engineering of it is just too tricky.

Hi. I just bought a Fotgiox pro tilt shift for Nikon G to MFT. I am trying to mount this to a Panasonic GH5. In rhe display I keep getting a message lens not mounted properly. On adjust ment this clear but returns as soo as I try to set tilt shift settings. Do you have any remedies for this?

You have to set the camera to shoot without lens, also I believe you have to turn off auto focus.

Unfortunately that won't work because Sony E-mount lenses have a shorter focal flange distance than Micro 4/3 camera mounts have.

I’m looking for lens adaptors that will allow me to mount various EF-S brands I own, to a Blackmagic Studio 4K Pro and also the Plus model. These two cameras are MFT mounts and very new models. I am really struggling to find information about what works and what doesn’t. Any help, much appreciated.

You'd need a Canon EF to Micro 4/3 auto adapter. Unfortunately at this time our Canon EF to Micro 4/3 auto adapter is not compatible with Blackmagic cameras, so I'd recommend looking at some of the other brands to see if one is.

Also have a NikonDX SWM VR ED HRI 1.4m-5.49 ft that I want to use with an Olympus OM D E Mark5 MIII camera. What adapter do I need.

At this time we only offer Nikon to Sony E and Nikon to Nikon Z FUSION adapters, but we may have more in the future. We just don't have anything to announce at this time.

We don't offer an adapter to mount a Micro 4/3 lens on a Canon DSLR. The problem is that Micro 4/3 has a much shorter focal flange distance than a Canon DSLR, so even if we did make an adapter, it wouldn't be able to focus to infinity and it would just be a macro lens.

Unfortunately that wouldn't work, because if you put extra space between a native lens and a native camera without a corrective optic, the lens loses the ability to focus to infinity and becomes a macro focus only lens. This is why we can only make ND Throttle adapters for non-native lenses that have a longer focal flange distance than the camera we're adapting them to. The extra space we get with the extra focal flange distance gives us the space to put an adapter. I suppose we could make a Canon EF to Canon EF speedbooster/ND Throttle combo, but putting the VND filter directly next to the speedboosting optic could create some reflection issues.

Yes, you should be able to mount that on your GX8 with our EF to MFT adapter. We offer a manual and auto versions. The auto versions should be able to control the aperture of this lens, but we haven't tested it. Unfortunately that's not possible because the Micro Four Thirds mount has a slightly longer focal flange distance that Sony E mount does, so even if we made an adapter it wouldn't be able to focus a Sony lens to infinity on an MFT camera.

if you mean Sony E-mount lenses, unfortunately that wouldn't be possible. This is because Sony E-mount has an 18.00 mm focal flange distance, while Micro 4/3 has a longer 19.25 mm focal flange distance. So even if we did make an adapter, the adapted E-mount lenses would not be able to focus to infinity and would only work as close-up focus lenses.

You just factor in the Micro 4/3 crop factor. So if the B4 lens starts at 9mm and ends at 150mm, you just multiply both by the Micro 4/3 2x crop. So on a Micro 4/3 camera a 9-150mm lens will be an 18mm to 300mm full frame equivalent.

Lots of interesting adaptors there but 1 comment, when using the x.71 fusion redux adaptor should your 50mm lens not become a 35mm (50x.71) full frame equivalent not 71mm?, i have a Sony one of these and its great adaptor.

Hi Dave, unfortunately not, because you still have to factor in the Micro 4/3 camera's 2x crop. Without the .71 redux optic, a 50mm lens is a 100mm lens on a Micro 4/3 sensor's 2x crop, because the equation is simply 50 x 2, but with the Redux .71 optic the equation is 50 x .71 x 2, which is 71mm. So the Redux makes an adapted 50mm lens a 71mm full frame equivalent on a Micro 4/3 sensor camera.
