Thank you for your sacrifice. When my family returned from Vietnam they greeted by violence, spat upon and called terrible names. They were treated awfully and protesters hounded them and harassed them as if they had a choice in their service. They were drafted. Those are the same type of protesters we see today.

Medicine seems to be in a similar bind, for similar reasons. A majority of the highly educated people I know became chronically ill starting around two years ago and have no idea why. The blue collar folk I know seem strangely unafflicted. A solid chunk of them can now describe in detail the exact biological mechanisms behind why the ivory tower people they work for are sick with accuracy and detail that make our "top experts" sound like witch doctors. A high degree of specialization in grant-steered fields has lost its veneer. We can all read the studies, view the retractions and follow the money.

Well, here's the dilemma: Allow counterprotesters to enter or get close to protest crowds and encampments, and they'll at best try to antagonize protesters into a heated argument or saying something they can clip out of context, and at worst shout slogans that get attributed to the protesters and or claim outrageous physical victimization after, say, getting brushed by a passing handheld flag, like in this case. Disallow them, and it gets portrayed in counterprotester-sympathetic media as "Jewish students's freedom of movement violated".

I used to support Israel but this conflict has shown me that they are not very different from Nazis in terms of war crimes and GENOCIDE.

Yes, it is a difficult job selling the other side on this issue using logic. You instead have to appeal to emotions strong enough (ie outrage) to incite the dehumanisation of supporters of peace. It has always been the same when governments go to war. The media is easily manipulated because journalists, like everyone else, are flawed people with biases and prejudices that some of them allow free reign to. They are incentivised to provide content that gets views and the easier, lazy, and morally bankrupt approach is to produce material that provokes outrage and encourages dehumanism.

Also as a GenXer, I recall the formation of a heavily funded think tank, PNAC (housed within the AEI offices), which was the primary lobbying force behind never-ending wars. And that NeoConservatives dominated DC foreign policy agenda, including sanctions on Iraq that caused tue deaths of 500,000 Iraqi children after PGWI, a cost Democratic diplomat Albrifht called "an accepted cost". Here's the part I didn't know when I was out there protesting with you: Israel leaders DIDN'T WANT Bush to attack Iraq. Sure, Iraq was a threat to Israel, and Iraq had militarily invaded Kuwait, and Iraq had fired missiles at Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, and Yasser Arafat was buddies with Saddam despite Saudi leaders having gone to bat for him numerous times. Israel did not see Iraq as a serious threat to be worried about, to the extent of wanting the Iraq War. Iraq had already been weakened by the long Iran Iraq War that probably killed a million on each side. Saddam was not a nice guy. NOT THAT ANY LEADER CAN SURVIVE IN THAT REGION BY BEING NICE. Saddam had extreme security measures to protect him from radical citizens who would assassinate him if they could. Saddam was not a religious zealot. He was trying to win for Saddam not win for Allah. Bush admin had to arm twist israelis into going along with the Bush war.

Most conservatives are not represented by the sitting congress/ senate. Not enough citizens are voting primaries. We the people are not controlling who gets on the ballot. I do not trust electronic voting machines and neither did the DNC after 2016. We need same day in person voting with ID, paper ballots, hand counting, everything documented and can be audited. No break in chain of custody. No single party with access to ballots. Mail in ballots limited to military, travelers, physically challenged.

But calling the situation in Gaza "genocide" is ludicrous when there are more Palestinians living in Gaza now than there were living in Gaza in 1948 when Israel was formed. It would be a poorly executed "genocide" if the population increased instead of the presumptive goal of genocide, which I assume is a population decrease of the targeted ethnic group.
