I'm mostly 10 and 2 position on the steering but on long straight drives ( like Saskatchewan Canada :D) I'm one hand at 12 position. The turn indicator usually is not an issue on 10/2 as I just extend my pinky finger to hit it.

I keep both hands on the steering wheel as I feel more comfortable while driving when I use this method.

One thing I taught my daughters in driving is try not to panic. One example is if you drive off the side of road don’t jerk the steering wheel to get back on the road. When I was tell one of my daughters about this a car in front of us went of the road jerked the steering wheel and his whole right side suspension came off. BTW I’m in the USA.

I think a good driver adapts his steering with all 3 methods (with palm steering reserved for parking)
