Thanks Big B!! Yeah she was running great!! I was hoping for at least 60 but water conditions were choppy and then I hit the dang rudder lol. Day was cut short!

Guys some underwater shots would be pretty cool!! That water is super clear. You could see the prop cone then.

Lol dude no, you can run the packs all the way down running hard on 6s, what you just said is false

All the way down to what? LVC? Just trying to clarify what I said was false.

@@UngluedModeler yep, you don’t have to make one straight pass and then cool it down lol. Only reason they say that is to cover their asses. That boat can handle a bigger prop and run to lvc. Hell I’ve watched ironclad rc make back to back 80 mph runs with it

Jayce maybe you are referring to me saying you have to do cooling passes on 6s with the STOCK PROP. If that’s what you’re referring to I’m just going by what it says in the manual. Manual says to prop down on 6s if using the stock prop otherwise too many amps/heat into the ESC and motor. Thanks for watching!

Haha yeah I watch Ironclad also guy is awesome lol. Anyway of course you CAN do it but with repeated back to back full throttle passes on 6s it does generate excessive heat and which will lead to premature component failure. I just like to keep temps down around 140 and below. And regarding LVC I also don’t like to run them that low either. Again just wear and tear and longevity reasons. Some people like to run their gear HARD and are fine with replacing ESC’s and motors and buying new battery packs more frequently. Nothing wrong with that approach but there is also nothing wrong with doing cooling passes. Thanks man!

Unless you're a coyboy or have deep pockets, there is no value in overheating or over stressing any component in your boat. There is zero issue with doing a slow run pass. Surface water temperature plays a huge role in the amount of cooling you receive.Sadly, the batteries are on their own in this regard, so why not treat them well.
