Great install vid. Interesting how it is cheaper and easier in one car, and a bit more work and cost for another. For my car, a EA888 engine(Mk7 GTI/Audi A3/S3), it's the first mod recommended for it's ease of install and only costs $75 for the elbow. Just the removal of the inlet hose clamp, clamp to the elbow pipe, and a single bolt. Took me like less then 20 minutes. My coworker has a 10th gen SI and is hesitant to buy it just because of the minimal gain for the cost. Told him if he wants to squeeze out every bit of power, it is worth it. After watching this, that looks sick in the engine bay. Definitely a bonus to buy it.

what’s up man! just installed the inlet, did you notice the blow off valve being much quieter? hoping it’s just the part not a messed up install

Engine bay looks clean the inlet pipe makes it pop 👍 where did you get the fasteners for the radiator cover? Plastic ones crack with the heat

did the PRL intake stay their? right i was wondering if i install turbo inlet pipe do i need to take out the intake?

I was able to get the tough side on with the four 12mm bolts but I wasn’t able to get one of the bolts on the one on the bottom below on the far corner below the long custom bolt that came with the kit. It hasn’t impacted it as I drove like that for almost like 7 months and no issues from it. No leaks, no lean or rich. Everything seems pretty good just clutch probably slips once in awhile only on full throttle in 4-5th gear.

@@ElPinche97 it's about 325whp atm. Has more room. Just needs more fine tuning. The setup will be good for 600 once it's time for motor, more fuel, and prolly a computer. These cars don't like external waste gates lol

PRL themselves have done many tests to show the dyno results. It’s the best intake for our cars. The inlet pipe maybe adds 1 hp but the sounds it produces are amazing

Props to you for installing while recoding with one hand. Not sure if you are open to getting a GoPro, but you could get a chest or head mount for the GoPro and have both hands and be able to record while installing

Ok,I just follow your video and saw it setheral times but one question?there is a piece up the intercooler where you just plug a pipe(small rubber pipe you have to plug to the left) and this piece is drilled to let air pass I suppose....but I have exactly the same motor and bought the same pieces and when I want to connect this small pipe on the intercooler piece my plug is blocked and not open...! Do you know the purpose of this little piece opened in your motor when you connect the small rubber pipe ?

@@ElPinche97 It's solved for the small rubber pipes because in Europe We only have one Evap and you got Two...and one more question: Do you have CAI maf housing street or Race? Do you need a tune for both CAI+Inlet titane or just go like that becaus everything in my civic is mounted with Race maf on CAI and throttle is very poor at 4k RPM...

What if you had the RACE MAF intake from PRL instead of the street? Would the install be different?

probably to reach the 4 bolts holding the inlet to the turbo , but taking off everything is a chingada sometimes aha

PRL uses high quality rubbers and components. If your hose clamps start slipping you are way over tightening. From the looks of the impression on the hose from the clamps…you over tightened the 💩 out of those!!!! Sheeeeeesh Just Sayn…

Pro Tip* when tightening hose clamps…the excess band material after the tightening point starts to turn you are to tight.😎

Honestly i always over tighten some stuff slightly due to an error on my previous car but I’ve never had any issues on the inlet pipe or anything else that I’ve installed myself it’s all held up fine no leaks or anything

I have an blow off valve adapter would it be ok if I switch it over ?

I recommend you get rid of that adapter and just put the OEM one by itself. But yes you can.

i have the street version and im fine. If you get the race version of the inlet pipe you need the race version of the intake.

Ya you get the matching inlet pipe to your intake I ran into this problem and it’s nowhere on the internet and then tune it with ktuner in the maf settings or protune whatsoever if you get the race maf

the cap 30:21 can use for close the coolant hose 21:33 😬

Nah it’s not necessary but if you want to you can I haven’t seen the temps jump at all. They actually have gone down a bit since more air is going inside.

Will the big bore inlet pipe work with the stock turbo?

Yess. Big bore means “Race” version of the inlet pipe which requires a “Race” PRL intake not the street version

Not too sure . PRL says it’s mainly for their intake. You can try to put it on the mishimoto one but you might have to make a custom coupler

better airflow, power wise maybe, maybe like 1-2 hp but that is more beneficial with a upgraded turbo, but the stock turbo does spool up better and better airflow overall, plus more turbo noises!!!

@@ElPinche97 ay I think that’s solid. Shouldn’t put too much stress on it, while still making it slightly more quick than stock. I’m waiting for the right time to get a 10th or 11th Gen and I hope to get it up to about 250 and ride on that until the warranty is up, then maybe try to eclipse 300 hp
