Very interesting how this one particular episode about fear included no imagery about actual war

This makes a lot of sense, even today. If you control your fear, it gives you strength...that's something I have learned from personal experience.

Yeah and yet if one does not control their fears, not only they'll harm themselves but also it'll affect everyone, like a chain reaction which is known to be called Mass Hysteria.

Too bad we didn't get to see Snafu clobber the dragon with that tree trunk... ...There's a sentence I didn't expect to say...!

To be fair, the knights of old had actual protection against most weapons until firearms were more mass produced

This seems like a precursor to motion design, and I would still put it among the best of them!

I am not sure if this film was made to help the US Army soldiers deal with “shell shock” (PTSD), or if they were trying to help the soldiers prepare mentally for the upcoming Invasion of Japan, which thankfully never took place, because Emperor Hirohito surrendered on behalf of his nation after the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Fight or flee. Keep it coming I enjoy the show. Even learning a little history and getting an idea of why my father thought the way he did. Thanks

Judging from the art style, this was done by the studio that would become UPA.

Experiential trauma - intensely negative event perceived to overwhelm the structure enabling mental functioning. Developmental trauma - lack of the positive influences as a series of events that enable mental maturity to lead to adulthood with prosocial norms conditioned

either you got what you "shouldn't" have or you didn't get what you "should" have -- in terms of healthy and mature cognitive ability and their expression as a responsible and productive member of society. including emotional awareness (not repressed from a fear-based self-referential short-circuit propagated event that prevents conscious access to our natural alarm system by the mechanism of dissocciation) ❤ for the minority who can align action to value including knowledge as knowing I know this is expected to serve my interests as an American patriotically
