I’m so glad you guys watched this all together! The fact that Prisoners has multiple meanings to almost every character in this film is brilliantly done

I can't stand when Ellie thinks she is in the right but in reality she was in the wrong. 😂

The part when he tells the cop that the daughter is wondering why her father is not saving her always gets me because it’s true. A young girl like that isn’t hoping for police, she’s hoping her dad will come and rescue her.

I dont understand Ellie's thinking lol. The dad Had a gun pointed at his face. What is he suppose to do? Get killed the moment he steps toward her? Thats not real life.

The exact opposite of the Prometheus School of Running Away From Things 😂

Much of this was filmed in my wife's hometown of Conyers, GA. It's an enthralling movie. I was on pins and needles the whole time, and it's still that way watching it again. Parts of it make me tear up each time I see it.

I felt so bad for Alex. To be kidnapped at that age and live with your kidnappers that long. Then, still having the mind of a child, being tortured that horribly.

One of the most chilling thriller movies I have ever seen, "Prisoners" is rich in compelling narratives and stellar performances from the ensemble cast. This movie had me love and hate Hugh Jackman's character which was so complex to the point of making me question my moral standards because I found myself empathizing with his character. On the other hand, Jake Gyllenhaal did a marvelous job on playing the frustrated cop: complete with all the intensity of his eyes and his intuition. While Gyllenhaal had more screentime as the lead, Jackman's performance really stood out for me.

This isn’t a superhero movie for Keller to try and fight the granny isn’t an easy task she could shoot him at anytime.

This is one of my favorite movies. It is always a treat to see other people watching it for the first time.

From the brilliant Canadian director Denis Villeneuve.

Ellie scares me sometimes lol. Girl is about that action when it comes to revenge. JUST SMASH HER!

Detective Loki (the guy from Spider-man Far From Home) is also in a boxing movie called Southpaw. Great movie, I hope you put it on your list.

I don't get why ppl hate hunters. Industrial farming for meat is more cruel to animals than hunting. So hate the average person more than hunters. Also, if you are not vegan then you don't really have the moral high ground to hate hunters. I am vegan and I like hunters more than I like the average person. They respect what it means to get meat. They know the sacrifice attached to it. The average person just acts like it's a product in the store. They take no responsibility and have no respect for the animal's life. It's worse than a person wearing a fur coat getting mad at poachers. Also, acting like God doesn't want hunting is kinda weird. If you believe in god then hunting isn't immoral. God created the carnivore animals and eating meat is okay in most religions. On top of all of that, often ppl that hate hunters romanticize indigenous tribes and other similar societies. Spoiler alert, most of them hunted and ate meat.

They should go to a slaughter house (A place where they get 99% of their meat) and see if its more moral than someone hunting food 😂 I'm also a vegan and agree, but I'm not a big fan of trophy hunters who go after endangered species.

I'm really bad at remembering names but for some reasons Ellie, Michelle, Lia and Viky is ingraved in my head forever 😂

This director and writer....like seriously, how good was this film? Even if i was an actor, i would have been drinking heavily, every night!

This film is absolutely brilliant to watch, Hugh Jackman at his absolute best, and Paul Dano did a great job; but my Pops could not sit through it because he felt too depressed by its subject matter about child abduction, and that is something my Pops had never done before as a big movie buff.
