How interesting!Thanks for this. I wonder why they would do that to the DVD's, they cost so much money too, especially when they first came out, I thought any missing bits was due to tape damage to the original Master tapes but it seems not. I had the full series on VHS recorded off television before the DVD release and remember noticing bits missing when I first watched the DVD's, I"m so glad I kept my VHS tape recordings of the show.

Apparently it’s maybe a grand to get use of a proper master tape or something like that so I presume they consider it too expensive

Do you have episode 169 on vhs but not from channel 5?

Well done for spotting these. It would be great to have a definitive, completely unedited run of episodes including gate slams and 0-Ten/Network 10 credits. All on Blu-ray! (Well, we can all dream!) 👍

Really good work to pick these things up, very interesting. This has made me want to watch the whole show again - haven't done so for quite a few years now (I have the complete Australian DVD set)

My5 are now showing episodes stretched inwards and the top cut off

One massive issue with the tapes supplied to Network 10 for the 10play stream. The closing credits on episodes 402-692 belong to episode 401. Massive fail!

It's very bizarre

The Cass fight scene edit is fine at first glance but would better work if they cut the brief bit where her arm is clearly going downward to hit that inmate in the stomach before it cuts to her hitting her in the face. The cut should have been done as Cass's arm is outward so we don't see it go down as by the next shot, her arm is out and she hits the inmate in the face. You wouldn't have been able to tell anything was cut here.

Great to see you still posting!! Was it you who posted a compilation of Prisoner scenes that always had the same background sound of an intercom saying "Paging Doctor...."? I can't find it anymore.

I'd love to watch that, I remember them doing that, I think 'Nurse Watson' came over the Tannoy regularly from what I can remember.
