I’ve gained a new level of respect for Damon after watching this. I love his content but never thought about the life he lived leading up to comedy
Can't knock a man who knows he's in over his head. Great episode Ian 👏
What a wonderful young man!! I don’t think he realizes how strong he really is!! Much success to you young man!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Another great interview Ian! I can so relate to Damon, I admire his courage and honesty. The fact that he believes in his therapy and has actually executed the skills and a thought process that he has been seeking through self-care and professional help.
I absolutely LOVE that the story about freezing at a fight came RIGHT before the story about seeing a dude flog his dolphin. He wasn’t willing to do anything about the fight between the two inmates but HOT DAMN one look at another dude smacking it and he said KNOCK IT OFF OR IM GONNA PEOPER SPRAY YOU. Hahahah I couldn’t stop laughing when I compared the two instances
Been watching from the beginning im glad this channel blew up. 👍
Great interview. 👍 This guy is so honest about his reality, he's tougher than he thinks being able to self-criticize publicly. Refreshingly honest dude, hope life goes well for him. 🤟

Another great one! Merry Christmas Ian. Heck of a year
Confirmed, his comedy is his testimony. Love it
This was therapeutic. Great interview
Great interview love the authenticity & life lessons
Great interview! It's so good to hear about his recovery and sticking with it! I had to laugh at him saying it's his least fav jokes that make it! It seems crazy, but I've heard that from other content creators.
never heard of ths guy but i love him and ill follow and subscribe and support from here on out. We don't need mainstream media or Hollywood we need this kind of content right here real life. Real truth. Much love

Good work bro! U can’t ever say you were never good at anything until u found comedy. You were a good son, dad, friend, those traits are more important then being good at a job or sport for example. Don’t sell yourself short. Even if u we’re a honest friend or faithful husband, that would make you better then 50% of the population
Wish him the best on his journey
This guy is special.
Ian Bick, I picked you up at the Courts, you had that reach! Basketball 🏀 was the spot!

For the Record Ian: A DWI/DUI is a Misdemeanor First Offence in every state. A misdemeanor does not preclude you from becoming a Correctional Officer. He obviously didn't have the right personality to be a Correctional Officer.Thank God he didn't get anothr Officer killed or seriously injured. I'm happy he turned the negative into a positive. I wish him the best 🙏

This episode is hilarious 😂
I went through years where i couldn't function sober but my problem wasn't alcohol it was snorting heroin fentanyl and cocaine/smoke crack till 2 and a half years ago i decided to get into treatment and it was pretty rough.. anyone who wants to get clean has to do it for themselves to better themselves or it won't work it doesn't work if people force you, you have to want help yourself!! 🐱

Dude, you 100% did the right thing by not breaking up that prison fight. Nothing good would have come from that. Sucks you lost your job, but not really. I could never work in a place like that. Cold, steel and concrete… No thanks not for any amount.
There are "doppelgangers versions" on my device Nic #3:said, "how do you (get all these(alternate version) shows) on your phone!?"
This is one of the funniest interviews 😂😂😂 the story about him freezing up had me dying . I wouldn’t wanna be a CO either . I’ve been to prison and I don’t envy their job
i know you probably wouldn't do an interview with a teenager, but I have a crazy life story at only 17 I got shot when I was 16 at school and have a lot to talk about growing up in the streets and I've dealt with alot of family violence im not looking for clout i just think my story should be heard peace and prosperity to you🙏
this interview here opened my eyes being from toledo ohio
Urbana is a nice little town, I go there every weekend
Yup, kids checked the tags to make sure it was official. Kids knew name brand patents 😂
This is the, “you got a dollar? Right” guy? - 😅
It's pretty rough retaining correctional staff. Out of every 10 only about 2 will make it a year. It doesn't make you a bad person. Working in a prison is hard on a person and even harder on a family.
How many people do you recall ever aspiring to be a C/O? I've done the job myself. It"s a tough job, and not for everyone. I got out for many of the same reasons as Damon, just not the job for me. I have alot of respect for the C/Os that approach the job as a professional. Some do , most don't. It would be interesting to watch an interview with a professional C/O. Not all C/Os are corrupt.
Nic #2 said, "you remember 'everybody!" I think I see what he means now
Why do you make it where I cant close my phone to listen to this? Lol some people gotta work

Personally, i upgraded to YT premium and I've never looked back! You don't have to sit through ads anymore plus you get YT music which is waaaaay better than pandora! For 11.99 a month, worth every penny. I know people gripe about how the channel you're watching is losing out on ad revenue but look at how many "sponsors" these channels receive.

I came here for Damon Darling, never seen this interviewer before. I find it hard to believe he was in prison. He also is kinda stale man, good on Damon for keeping the interview alive alive. I feel bad talking ish, but give some flavor bro, or atleast show some compassion. Dude is just laughing at him.
Love Damon he's the best holla dolla Florida $$$$
Bad decision to be a CO unless you were ready when they told you that they would get rid of you and keep getting rid of guards until they got one that would help they were basically telling you that you were on the list. Glad you got out of there unharmed physically but I know you still probably suffer in reparable psychological damage. I still do have PTSD real bad from what I seen as a young kid in prison. It’s no fun man. great podcast Brother shout out to the man for his honesty.
I would love to tell others regarding waiting for guy to get out prison . I didn't learn once or once.i Had thousand dollars and thousands dollars a sad story stolen my heart. How the police couldn't find to arrest.I TURNED HIM IN .NEVER WILL DO THAT AGAIN.
