Bloody hell, what a nightmare...glad all turned out ok in the end.

This is the worst thing I've ever heard from travellers in Africa and I have been doing it worldwide for over 40 years. I would have said Kenya has (had!) one of the least corrupt police forces but looks like you hit the jackpot. I will spread the word, and if you know the name of the guy who screwed you over it really needs putting on Social Media. Get as far away from him as possible and leave Kenya. Take care and very best of luck for your onward journey.

In the future you have a great story for your children and grandchildren. At that time, this event will only make you laugh.

You should be ashamed that you aren't smart enough to see the bigger picture. You don't even know what a troll is. Idiot.

Anti terrorist units have a lot of discretion but obviously you guys are not a threat, they should have seen this right away and let you on your way. Very glad you are all safe

Oh sorry...... That must have been a huge misunderstanding. And the guy who asked for 10k I can't really vouch for him that was bad. You've got to understand...... getting into the country through one of the most remotest parts of the country and actually staying for days without a stamp...... Actually raises eyebrows due to al shabab threat. But am really sorry you went through this especially in such a culturally diverse and beautiful country of Kenya.... But roses still do have thorns......

Background music is too noisy and louder really .. please make a little volume while you talking -- too annoying

I lived 8 years in a 3rd world country in Asia. Many of your experiences, I experienced there. From your footage of Africa...all I can think is what a shit hole. Corruption and a deep seeded hatred of foreigners. Seems like you are only as good as the money in your pocket. That is why people smile at you. I would have turned around with the problem you guys had in Egypt. Hope you make it out alive. Safe travels.

Liked this story, but that awful, terrible background music ruined most of the atmosphere of your tale.
