Prisma Guitars | Transforming Skateboard Decks into Custom Guitars
Музыка
We sit with Nick Pourfard founder of Prisma Guitars for this two part look at his unique custom guitar building.
Part 1: The Interview
Combining a lifelong love of skateboarding with a passion for woodworking and guitars, the creation of Prisma seemed a natural fit for Nick. In our interview we dig into how he came up with the idea in the first place, pickup choices, body styles, the unique nature of each guitar and so much more.

So Cool. Love that he took his own path and made something with a quality sound and a truly one of a kind look.
and like.
Very nice idea LIKE, great craftsmanship LIKE, STOP THE LIKES PLEASE!
you would be dead in a couple minutes if you drank a shot everytime he says "like" xD by the way the guitars look pretty cool, the idea is definitely original and i kinda dig the unpredictability of the finished guitar
A lot of likes... like hundreds...like....
Absolute genius.
Stoned immaculate
they totaly said "like" around 129 times D:
And when for bass guitar ? ;-)
How hard would it be to do this in a ukulele form?
So fucking cool. File that under "why didn't I think of that?" Goregeous. No go make us an SG/Paul/Flying V for the Gibson heads.

+Adrian Stock Gibson have done Laminate SG's and Pauls before under the Zoot Suit name. I have the SG which i love. You can only get them second hand now though. But these guitars look absolutely wonderful. Would be amazing to get a bass from these guys.

+Murry Lancashire (Muzz) What years were those? I'm guessing that's not the same thing as "The Norlin Years".... I have an idea for recycled wood for guitar body/design. It's my own, original enough not to be a "bite" off someone else's style... hopefully I can get off my ass and "do it". You learn something everyday.... How's yours sound?

+Adrian Stock Just give a search for Gibson Zoot suit. The Sg's were 2009, and the les pauls i think were 2011. I love the sound of my SG. It's really heavy because of the laminate construction, and has sustain for days. Really good for heavier music.
