I really enjoy your videos. I’ve been a cabinetmaker for fifty plus years and a woodworker longer than that. Awesome job! An idea to peel off the grip tape would be to bring a sort of oven into wich you could put stacks of boards to warm up and then take out once at time and easly peel off

Put them out in the sun when you get them. They're all gonna need to be peeled eventually so why not do it when they arrive. That way you'll have a stack of prepped boards whatever the temperature

@@WobyDesign another idea i came up with while watching you peeling is to attach a drill to the wood stick you use to peel, maybe you could build a steel version with an attachment for the drill welded on one side

I was thinking of that as well, and a low RPM high torque motor to do the turning, you could just feed the board into it and it would peel it off for you.

I’m at stage 1 of doing something similar. I have an old electric guitar that needs reconditioning and I am going to shave 10mm off the face of the body. Make template (Perspex)for placement of holes and mountings. Then make skateboard top 10mm. Glue to cut down body and shape edge profiles to original. I have some of my sons old boards which makes it personal. I then ate a guitar case with glass lid ( skateboard frame)so it becomes a wall hanging. Use a Perspex scratch plate or maybe pearl.
