Prism Supply x Harley-Davidson | My Garage | Jim Root

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Our latest My Garage episode brings us to the Sunshine State where we visit Jim Root. Jim needs no introduction as a guitarist. With a legendary career with Slipknot and a best-selling signature guitar bearing his name, he’s solidified his place in music history.
Off stage, he’s developed an affinity for high-horsepower vehicles. Alongside racks and racks of guitars, his garage is adorned with period-correct Mopars and a different Harley-Davidson for nearly every occasion.
Like his eclectic motorcycle collection, Jim’s guitars are set up in a way that suits his style and upsets purists. But, with a Grammy and multiple Platinum records on his shelf, it’s clear that Jim doesn’t need to follow convention.

Corey is a shitbag egomaniac. For all of his complaints about MGK--Corey's solo records sound exactly like MGK. Dude loves to hear himself talk and is beyond conceited. Whereas, Jim and Mick just come off as regular dudes. I haven't been a Slipknot fan since s/t was released when I was in 8th grade in 1999 but have always enjoyed Jim's interviews about gear.

Jim is definitely one of my all time favorite guitar players, and also inspired me as a guitar player. The first time I saw Slipknot I was front row literally right in front of Jim. I recently bought one of his personally owned Fender Jazzmasters from Wild West Guitars. Back when he sold some of his collection to that shop. Incredibly, Jim himself actually wrote back to me on instagram and we had a nice convo about that guitar and cars too. Really hope I get to meet him one day he seems like such an awesome dude. Such a cool video and great to finally see what his garage and some of his collection!
