Priscilla Chan is trying to change the fate of an entire generation

Priscilla Chan and her husband, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, have pledged 99% of their wealth to the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, or CZI, which aims "to advance human potential and promote equality for all children in the next generation."

This is the first time I've heard her talk, and I'm so, so glad I did. For some reason (that probably reflects worse on me), I expected her to be a cold, calculative sort of power executive-type. Instead, she's phenomenally intelligent, ambitious, hopeful for humanity yet vulnerable in a way that shows her passion and gratitude for all the opportunities that were ever given to her and her family. What a true gem of a human.

People need to be educated about the things they use, they need to read the fine print, they need to listen to different voices and form a discernment of their own.

What worries me about this woman is that her narrative is ENTIRELY secular; not a word about God escapes her mouth. May the Lord Jesus reveal Himself to this couple, that they may be saved. It would be a pity if their good deeds did not receive an eternal reward, because they were not 'wrought in God' but products of human reasoning.

TAX FRAUD ALERT.... The charity scam. Another way the wealthy avoid paying taxes on their billions is to make charitable donations. There’s no legal requirement that a charity must spend its wealth. In fact, IRS rules require only that charities spend about 5 percent of their investment assets annually, and all or part of this amount can be spent on salaries and “expenses,” rather than devoted to the charitable purpose the charity purports to be serving. So, what happens with a charitable trust, set up by a billionaire, and controlled by one of the billionaire’s children? The child gets a job and a salary for life.

+adina andico Except that her project is entirely focused upon the here-and-now. If a person lives with every material advantage, in perfect health, and to a ripe old age, and yet does not know Jesus Christ, that person will be doomed for eternity because his/her sins remain unforgiven. Jesus says, 'I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.' Not to believe Him is to make a leap of contrary faith. What we need is not yet another role model, whom we would fail to emulate even if we tried, but the SAVIOR. And some of us do not like being herded into admiration societies. There is something cultish and idolatrous about them.

You can criticise someone without endorsing someone else, also perhaps it's because I don't follow the Kardashians but can't in any way see how they hurt anyone and to me that's fine. Not everyone need to change the world, and there's nothing wrong with 'entertaining' others particularly not when it's done through nudity. But not changing the world is better than changing it for the worse, and her husband is arguably doing that. I don't know enough about her to cast judgement on her, so I won't. Some normal people are needed in this world as well.

Either positive or even negative reference to those names will only make them more legitimate, a vicious cycle we need to break free from. I try to stay clear of those people, not wasting my time watching their shows, but I am still getting affected indirectly by other people keep on mentioning those in communication and blogs. If you think they serve no purpose then do not even bring them up and marginalize them out of your life. Save your time to spend on something more meaningful to you. Just focus on the positives of those people who make contribution to the society.

Arrogant women who thinks she can play god and change the world. She's trying to deconstruct society by removing conservative values and playing around with nature by curing diseases that doesn't need to be cured. Allow nature to do it's thing, unfortuantly, people are so afraid of dying and if every disease was cured, how quickly will the population increase by? My point is that the work she's doing and any scientists that plays with nature will come to a ethical conundrum which is: when should we stop? Should scientists stop at IVF? Should scientists stop at designer babies? Should scientists stop at same-sex pregnancy? Before we know it, transhumanism will have already happen.

I'm having a hard time believing that through this she is trying to change the fate of an entire generation. The entire video is such a click bate. At this point, all she is saying is all talk and no action. How has she changed the generation currently through her organization?? They have been sitting on over $1B for YEARS and nothing has changed. Being a healthcare worker, yes to some extent you are saving lives but you are not challenging the LAWS which currently still protect certain people while neglecting others. The indigenous population is STILL suffering and so are single mothers. We are under a system that supports child abusers and rapist! They only get 10 years in prison while someone who sells drugs is in there for 30 years!! What has she done to help the must vulnerable sector? its all hot air that she is talking. This is all propaganda promotion of Facebook after a huge breach of privacy that was done which affected millions of users. A lot of women in her position with half a brain would have done WAY more! There is no charity work that she is done or anything of that sort. They have not even adopted children to help kids that are stuck in foster care with no mom or dad to claim. These people have tons of money and are getting praised for NOTHING. It's disgusting. I'm not buying this one bit but the media eats it up. Brainless sheep. I also have zero respect for people who code because with coding comes a large group of shady people who hack into the database of people who have submitted their DNA for the ancestry test and now these same "coders" are SELLING that information for TONS of money! Do you know how damaging that can be for people? employers and insurance companies can now start discriminating based on the information they get about your health and potential fate in life? What are they doing to change that? absolutly NOTHING. Facebook is part of the problem too. What do you think they are doing with all your information on facebook?? they are SELLING IT and they have the coding skills to ensure that no one finds out.

@ XFendi Prada : Whoever want to use Facebook agreed to that policy, no one is forced into. Calm down, she is only saying her thought for the media, we have to wait and see her action later. May be other Billionaire will inspire by her talk and follow her step do some thing good with their large sum of money for the less fortunate even if she is all talk no action as said. BTW, don't mistaken her as Warren Buffet; it is quite normal nowadays for many Billionaire to all talk with grand ideas while in front of camera but little or no action later ....nothing out of the ordinary for her to do that. I don't want to discredit her as 'all talk no action' so soon, may be there is an immediate action from her if the "ALL CURE" can bring in another few Billions to her personal bank account, only God will know.

How did you get to this 10%, did someone research this? The thing is, when people complain about other people giving up their money, I ask myself, why are these people so liberally expect for the billionaires of the world to do something about anything first, why don't these give of other people's money themselves give at least 50% of their very own total income to any cause? Most people can survive on very little of what they love on. Take intermittent fasting for instance, you could eat 1 meal a day, ride the bus, or walk everywhere, live in a small apartment, and help with a noble cause... Remember, to a very poor person, you're the billionaire...

And that is why this country is one of the most powerful country in the world, because we gave those people hope and dreams that they can’t have it in their own country. Well our country benefits from all of those gifted people.
