Online event following the launch of our report:
Good Work for Wellbeing in the Coronavirus Economy.
At the event, we discussed:
• How have working lives changed during the pandemic?
• How can we achieve and sustain good work for many more people in the coronavirus economy?
• What is the role of government and other key actors in the world of work?
The UK’s employment recovery after the last recession saw large numbers of people trapped in poor quality, low paid, insecure work and feeling ‘left behind’. This time, as well as focusing on job creation we need a greater focus on ensuring the coronavirus labour market can deliver good quality jobs.
Watch the recording of the webinar to hear four perspectives on the most pressing good work challenges, and what needs to be done to protect and expand job quality for many more workers.
The presentations were followed by the opportunity to ask questions of the panel and the audience voted on their own good work priorities.
Speakers include:
• Gail Irvine, Carnegie UK Trust
• Jake Jooshandeh, RSA
• Rosie Stock-Jones, Centre for Progressive Policy
• Ben Willmott, CIPD
