Prior Attire Romantic weekend 2019
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
A slightly different video today - a bit on our recent event, the 1820-38 soiree ( and ot only).
I have been in love with the wacky era for the last fewy years and last winter i finally booked the venue , sorted out the logistics and organised the event. It was a semi private, invitation only affair ( ony 46 spaces), so it sold out fast - and we had people from France, Netherlands, Finland and Canada coming, as well as from all over the UK :-)
It was a lot of work ( for me as both an organiser and costume provider for several people, but also for all the others as they worked on their costumes too!) - but it was worth it, and i think we will be doing it again next year :-)
for more footage from a different perspective, check out the vlogs by Lee-am!

The fact that it’s nearly 2020 and people still have Victorian balls makes my heart very happy 😊

The adoring way your husband looks at you while dancing!
Full historical dress on a modern playground will always be hilarious to me! It's exactly what I'd be doing in a corset, crinoline cage and 82 petticoats!
What a wonderful group -- of people, of costumes -- in the group photo at the end. How marvellous that people came from across the Channel to join you! Thank you for recording and sharing your very special soirée/weekend🤗 🤗 🤗
I would never attend a rock concert but I would attend a PriorAttire soirée at the drop of a hat! It was all very lovely and the photos with the horses were stunning.

I am at a weird place where I absolutely adore historical fashion and my goal is to eventually create a number of everyday 1830s-40s outfits to wear, but I am also very much into punk/rock subcultures so also wish to dress like a punk. I feel it may be a bit disorienting for people if I show up in frock coat and top hat one day and leather jacket and blue hair the next

Watching the French gentlemen dance is so entertaining!
I really loved how this was such a "window" into what a gathering of that time period might have looked like. There is definitely something to be said for the beauty of 'structured' - for lack of a better word - dancing. Thank you for this wonderful peek!
This was awesome to watch. The French dandy was lovely to watch dancing. The Dutch man's mustache was perfect. Also a playground is never to be passed by while wearing period clothing. When I am at period wars, I love to wear a kirtle and swing. My friends and I always do this the first night. It's tradition.
Oh my! What fun! I wish there were more things like this in western Canada. Lovely to see nearly equal numbers of men and women too! If ever I find myself in England, I will surely don an Apollo Knot and come play with you all.

There haven’t been events like that here before I organised them. If you want to have fun where you are, sometimes it simply means doing it yourself!
I LOVE this! Especially the dancing. I think its great that the guys get into it too 💗 I wish my husband would be interested in this with me
I must say I loved the Dutch couple. They were the cutest of them all and it all looked so marvelous. Who was the youngest male there (not Zach) ? He looked like he was dancing on air and having fun. I hope to be at one of these one day but alas it is very far away.
What I wouldn’t give to be able to attend something like this! Ugh! So jealous!
Thank you so much for taking us along. It was wonderful. And all of the clothes looked amazing. I do so enjoy your videos.
What a fantastic event you put on. It looked like so much fun, even if the weather didn't help.
That was wonderful. Thank you for sharing your lovely weekend. Of course I loved the horses best.
I think 1830's women's clothing might be the fashion equivalent of so bad they're good movies.
I LOVE it when everyone brings their A game to an event. What a stunning bunch and everyone looked like they were having a marvelous time.
Getting dizzy watching the dancing. Everyone looks so wonderful
I love serious David's portrait! It looks like so much fun. It must take forever to learn the dances

it didnt- they were mostly called, so easy to walk though once and they you remember the steps - pretty simple at that point!
I could've watched everyone dance all night! Just beautiful--Thank you!
Stunning!! It reminds me a story from Dickens. The very lean young gentleman at the party did very well in his dance. Very impressive. Thank you for sharing.
It looks like everyone was having a BALL!😂 Sorry I just couldn’t help myself. What a way to spend the weekend. I’m so jealous.👍❤️
Some of the men really were good dancers and obviously enjoyed themselves! I loved all the clothes!
LOL! a sewing part is so quaint on a rainy day *GASP! WHAT'S THIS!!! YOUNG STRAPPING MEN SLAVING OVER A HOT SEWING MACHINE...OH MY!
Oh, that looks like so much fun! I'd love to do something like that someday. A step back into the past. As usual, your video was excellent. :)

That sounded like so much fun. Wish we had something like that in Florida. It would be a killer with the heat, but so enjoyable!

Lelleith Murray, I doubt the heat would be that different in period clothes. After all my great, great, great grandmother managed to survive it.
The guy in the black skinny jeans was quite the dancer.

How absolutely perfect. You all looked amazing.
Just make sure you get Merlin in you next video, please. I understand why he's not in this one, but....... We miss him when he doesn't show up!
I would love to get my husband and son into those 19th century clothes. They are both over 6 ft (2 meters) tall and would look AMAZING in them! I've seen them both in Renaissance Festival clothes (my son practically grew up in his) and they both look great.
Well dressed gentlemen! Not just beautiful ladies! Huzzah!
Oh I would so enjoy spending a weekend like this!!!!! Splendid.

Everything.. Looks perfect and nice... A lot of activities to do in just a weekend! I love how... Is... Just a bunch of good, funny people to be around with! Amazing
Even though the 1820s-30s is probably my least favorite decade for fashion, after watching this it made me wish I was on the other side of the Pond, wearing tartan stirrup pants so I could have joined you all! Awesome video as always..had been anxiously awaiting a new one so thanks a million!
Oh how marvelous! My idea of a dream weekend.
Looks like everyone had fun! Especially when there's dancing! Beautiful attires for men and women! The colors are beautiful! Especially your purple gown.
Looked like such a great time. All the outfits you made were incredible like always.
This is all so wholesome and sweet, I'm glad you all had fun!
Such a lovely weekend. So many beautiful gowns and menswear. In this crazy modern world the simpler times of the past seem so wonderful. Maybe you were born in the wrong era. Love you sharing your passion and dedication! Thank you.
What an amazing weekend you organized! Astounding that the men went along with everything! That house was beautiful and such a wonderful place to host the party. The costumes were beautiful with such attention to detail. Really enjoyed this. It was like watching way back in real time.
Love the dancing. Reminds me of barn dancing, the calls, the steps, the rhythm. Wonderful
Absolutely adorable!!! it is wonderful that so many Europeans are making this wonderful effort to keep traditions alive. I Greece and Cyprus we also don our traditional outfits if we belong to a dancing troupe that keeps our native dances alive. These troupes are invited to do public performances on ethnic holidays and cultural festivals. Bravo!
That was wonderful! Thank you for sharing!
Looks like everyone had a great time! I especially love the shots of everyone on the horses.
What a wonderful weekend! I really enjoyed watching you all enjoy it all!
Gorgeous! Sorry that the weather was so bad all weekend, for the most part. Your playground romp was fun to watch. Thank you for sharing all aspects of the event - it was very interesting to see everything from sewing to food to dancing to riding. The dresses and gentlemens attire was stunning, as is typical for you! I think I share some of the same introvert characteristics - I can do 'social' but definitely need quiet time to recover afterwards. Cheers to you from over here in the States!
Luv it, sadly we don’t do anything like this in Australia. I have been to England twice and love everything about it. You are all amazing, I am with you in spirit at least!

We didn’t do it here either before I started organising it... sometimes if you want something, you have to do it yourself- so try As well?
This is all gorgeous and I can't wait to finish my husband's first regency suit! He requested one this year and I couldn't be happier about it!
Oh my god! I want to go to some weekend like this 😍 this is gourgeous!!❤️
Oh how I would love to be in the middle of all that! Looks like the greatest fun
It was beautiful.. And I love lady in the white dress embroidery on the skirt who is beautiful
That looked amazing!! Great job on the costumes, then dancing looked wonderful, and the horses were gorgeous!
The playground highjinx made my day :) oh and the clothes were all gorgeous!
So thrilling, I forgot that I am in a market carpark!
I love everything about this. I will be looking forward to next year!
Splendid!! What a fun weekend :-) The costumes were amazing.
Oh! So much beauty! Thank you for all the loveliness!
Oh my god! I’ve been dreaming about days like this! So so weird! I absolutely love all this! I would love to come x
That looks like the most fun ever.
Looks like a fabulous weekend. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Great photos. You crack me up with your playground shenanigans. My thought when you went down the slide was; I hope she's not wearing open knickers. 🤣🤣🤣
What a wonderful weekend! Nikki did a beautiful job on everyone’s hair and the clothing was superb. I was wondering when the playground shenanigans would come in and you didn’t disappoint. I’m sure those little kids behind you appreciated that you dried off the slide with your skirts and pantaloons. 😂
Sweet of you to loan your hubby out for dances!! And he did look like a superb dancer.

You do change partners a lot with historical dances. It was rude to cling. Just to one
What a lovely affair! And of course, who can resist a playground?
Looks like an amazing weekend!! The craftsmanship is astounding!
Just beautiful! Everyone looked like they just stepped out of history! I would LOVE to participate in one of these! Do you visit a different era for each weekend?

Such amazing dresses 💜. Yes! I understand its hard to resist a playground.
This looked like the most wonderful weekend I could ever imagine! I long to be able to attend one of your events or Victorian Balls someday...
Wow! This was fantastic! Especially the dancing!!!😍😍😍
Amazing and I love how you all enjoyed yourselves. You have some light footed men who can dance. If you notice while your sliding down the slide, a little girl with her dad is watching you. 🤗🤗👍🥰
How fun and how beautiful everyone looked and wonderful dancing I even had fun
Man if I lived nearer (not in the USA) I would love to do something like this
I enjoyed attending the weekend virtually. Thanks for posting!

i love seeing colorful costumes in a ball!!
That was marvelous, thank you so much for sharing. I can admire the beauty, dedication & craftmanship that went into those lovely period dresses but I must say I find the gentlemen's attire much more appealing on a personal level. I may have been rather scandalous had I actually lived during that time lol.
What a fun way to spend a weekend! I know”what’s a weekend?”.
Oh what fun! Absolutely fabulous!
That was absolutely lovely
Looks like a lovely and fun weekend, (except for the rain). And the outfits are fantastic. :)
That is my kind of party! Stunning, all of you!

This looks so so fun!! I’m so happy you all had a chance to do this. I hope it continues in the years to come!
Since I have two left feet, I could never participate in the dancing, but I do SO enjoy watching!!
I need a love button so much!! This is absolutely gorgeous and looked like a ton of fun
This video fills me with happieness
Zack is absolutely spiffy.
It looks incredible!
Everyone looked wonderful! I understand the introvert thing, I'd be so exhausted! I hope you got some good rest after.
Everyone looks so beautiful, including the men!
