So I just discovered you today, and have spent the last several hours listening to your stuff in a weird loop. I'm really, really enjoying it. I was just nodding along to this song enjoying the melody and rhythm until I saw the picture and saw who it was. Then had to go reread the lyrics. Almost every song I've heard from you has touched me in some way or pulled on heart strings. The line "you wanna drop me because of how my voice sounds" combined with only learning yesterday that Derpy was first place in the races until her condition deteriorated... shit. I'm glad you're doing what you're doing. These are truly astounding stories and perspectives. Edit: That was written listening to the end of the song and seeing the grayish picture. I'm now listening to it from the beginning and the images make it even more heartbreaking. I'm stunned and impressed. And now a patron. This song tipped me from "I really like this guy" to "I like this guy more than money." Thank you again.

Naturally, Derpy was an adorable character, who got hate she never deserved from ignorant people with no sense of humor who think some types should be censored and be ashamed of they just couldn't understand how this show could dare to include someone who even might be mentally handicapped.

Oh man. Oh man, oh man, *oh man*. This song has been in my top 7 since it came out and seeing this on my feed was such a pleasant surprise. Thanks for being awesome, dudes.

As a teenager with autism and OCD, this song hits home in the best of ways, thanks for making my day, and countless others. Great job.

Sweet lords this is absolutely glorious. Prince, thanks for redoing this, personally one of few songs that got me into the fandom, and got me to stay at times I've been hated and bullied so much. This song really means so much to me, and hearing it again, all redone and perfect... I think I could cry.

Definitely a great remastered version! Love this song, and the message it holds, seeing I can relate with in many ways

you know it's a powerful song when you're only 20 seconds in and it's already bringing tears to your eyes. I love this song so much

That whole fiasco was upsetting. A lot of people identified with Derpy, and it was neat seeing a character with some disability as an actual character. But some probably non-existent group of trolls (I don't know and have never met anybody who was actually upset in the wild) caused the character to be relegated to the background and Hasbro just pretends she doesn't exist. Like real people with disabilities.

Wackiest part with me is I've never spotted anybody in the wild who was actually upset or knew somebody upset - It was always "some people." Which leads me to think it was a troll campaign. I've only seen two types of comment - "WTF Derpy was great (frequently followed by a story of being or knowing somebody disabled who loved seeing somebody imperfect represented) "and "I mean...I guess I can maybe see how it's possible some people might be offended I guess? But I don't think it a problem."

For some odd reason despite not being in the fandom since s1-4. I decided to go back and listen to old favorites from my time and discovered this remake and holy shit it's so good.

I thought so at first but after listening to this a few more times I'm starting to dig this one way more. The melody has somewhat been enhanced in this remake from what my ears are picking up and I like it. The visuals of the video in the original were more appealing though hehe

Torrez it's more of a hype thing. When mainstream media lost interest so did the thrill seekers. The fandom is just as great as ever it's just after 6 year's the one's who remain have changed there profile pics but we all still love mlp and go to the con's. And even if we have lost a few over the year's we continue to get new still joining every year. Yet when ponies say the "old" fandom they mean when the hype attracted people it was fun but what remains today are true bronies who actually love the brony fandom and the show. So it's just something ponies say when they look back on older content and say "i miss what was happening when this came out" and with nostalgia being the big thing part of the brony fandom has been marked as the older fandom but with time this will change.
