I've always admired Princess Alexandra. She has a real sense of duty. Always kind and thoughtful, no air of importance. Still doing her duty despite a terrible form of arthritis which can cause blindness. Good to see her in the front row at a major event.

So pleased to see HRH at this years Commonwealth Service. Princess Alexandra has always been a dedicated working member of the Royal Family. She truly understands the meaning of service unlike some of her younger royal relatives.

I loved the way she had a quick chat to the steel drum players. I’m sure they are there every year welcoming the Royals.

A wonderful lady and what a support she has always been to our Queen. I loved how she took the time to speak to the band!

Her brother, the Duke of Kent, also stopped to speak to the young people acting as guard of honour on arrival.

I met her years ago when she was Patron of the London Philharmonic Choir and she hosted an event for us at St. James' Palace. An amazing lady. Class act.

Princess Alexandra is such a lovely and gracious lady, oozes class and refinement from every pore. Prince Philip was her cousin too as her mother, Princess Marina and Philip were first cousins.

She is so politeness to everybody what a wonderful lady💃💜🕺💃💜🕺💃💜🕺💃💜🕺

What a lovely lady! Continuing to support her cousin & friend. No one can say she does it for the media or her ego.

You don't have to know what she was saying, you can clearly see the non-verbals. She just oozes charm and personality. I am neither especially pro nor anti the Royal Family, but nobody can deny she has served her country and supported the monarch well throughout her lifetime. I've always admired her.

She's a an interesting royal. I've watched a number of videos of her in her younger days when she represented the Queen. Very personable and a real people's person.

I remember when she came to Australia and her car drove past my primary school. It went on further and went by my brother’s high school. They surrounded her car which had to stop. She was a very gracious lady.

Looking at all the representatives of the British Royal Family at this year's Commonwealth Day Commemorations, I cannot but praise the dignity and proper posture assumed by Princess Alexandra. In fact , Princess Alexandra , in addition to being very beautiful and elegant , she has the attitude of a true aristocrat . She seemed to me to be an excellent representative of the charismatic Queen Elizabeth II.

Had the great pleasure of meeting Princess Alexandra when she visited our Historic Town in East Yorkshire somewhere around 1986..quite embarrassed really because when she asked if I lived in the Town very long I answered EYE MA.AM BORN N BRED .she actually laughed ..then I did.

I have met her and was totally impressed! She loves chatting to the people not in the official line-up! (Me!) As she did when she chatted to the steel band!

there is over 10 years between her and our Queen, she was a child when HM got married its only been in the last several years that the press have said that they are REPORTEDLY good friends, they have no evidence of that

She's remarkable in her own right, whether one is a monarchist/royalist or not, and she's been faithfully serving her monarch all these years. The Princess, just a year younger than I, when on an official visit to Melbourne in the late 1950s, I think, just blew me over with her beauty as she drove past in her illuminated Rolls to an evening function. Thank goodness she inherited her mother's looks.

They do. Why praise one by disparaging another? You have no right to judge until you walk in their shoes. I remember watching a documentary about the commonwealth in which Princess Alexandra was talking to a gentleman she recognized but didn’t remember at first glance. Then she remembered, saying “I gave you your independence.” He was dumbstruck. What an arrogant thing for her to say. How is her daughter Marina doing? Better than Montecito?

She'll always be my princess after visiting my mum in hospital when I was first born. My mum told me about it, so years later I looked it up in the library and it was true lol. She spoke to my mum and said what are you going to call him. My mother said Jimmy, she replied to my mother don't you mean James? lol her son is also called James, I would like to think that she named him after me but he was born 2 months before me so that was that. 💓

Princess Alexandra has been beautiful, elegant and dutiful all her life! An asset to the royal family. I feel she's not fussy about jewelry as she wears the same pieces of jewelry especially the beautiful and delicate choker all the time.

@@princessalexandra1613 its how things work in Royalty and Aristocracy the most important of Kent Jewels will have been left to the Duke of Kent and Queen Mary may have had her own personal jewellery that she could have left to anyone she liked but the tiaras, etc weren't hers they are passed along to Monarchs, so they became the property of King George VI and were passed to Elizabeth as did Balmoral and Sandringham and they will pass to Charles and then William

She has always been such a beautiful favourite of mine. I'm sorry she's growing old.

Kenya is an independent country and has been for decades. The Commonwealth they are celebrating is group of nations who voluntarily choose to trade between each other and support each other through education, culture and they support each other in times of crisis. eg Australia and other countries of the Commonwealth , flew in aid to Fiji, another Commonwealth nation, after the recent earthquake.

All Kens cousins are over 80 years of age now and their mobility is weaker. Princess Elisabeth of Yugoslavia is their cousin and is 87 now and still walk like young woman.

Over 25years since Diana’s death and many more since they divorced. Many people world wide make mistakes in choosing their partners. The lucky ones go on to find fulfilment later in life. Camilla has supported her husband and the people for years and has shown her worth. Please remember Diana in a special way but remember life moves on.

Yes you can as an associate member. Indeed the previous president Trump was in the process of applying for associate membership of the Commonwealth. There’s also a little known state in America called British west Florida which is technically still crown land from the 16th century, and has continuously applied for Commonwealth status.
