The police have really strange procurement agreements for cars which means that they're often registered in areas they're not operating in. Surely in this day and age we should be using one of the helicopters to bring these people in. Not only for their safety, but it causes mayhem when they travel through central London- obviously not including pm as that would be ridiculous to fly from #10 to the palace. It did look a little chaotic towards the end, but tbf, it was the jubilee and crowds were even more insane than normal. In general, the police did a great job, I’m just not sure the cost/benefit makes sense using cars to move these people around anymore.

@@thundurr I thought about that, and honestly I don’t know as I’m not in that world at all, but yanks do it all the time flying their president into White House from the airport just outside Washington he flies from. If any country goes overboard protecting their head of state it’s them, so it’s clearly possible and would be less disruptive to the city. They already fly into that small military runway for the gov’t planes in west London so there is that security risk, so it must be possible to go the few extra miles and land in that huge area of protected land behind the palace.

The discussion was about flying in a helicopter the last part of the trip to avoid city congestion. It’s really not anything to do with topic, but yes, US is a fricking enormous country but I think in popular discussion the size of uk is ironically made even smaller. It is about 600-800 miles long if memory serves (depending on how you measure). That’s like going from southern Alabama boarder to northern Ohio in US (tho much narrower obv since no place in uk is more than 80miles away from sea). There is a website that lets you move one country on top of another to accurately compare. So your overall point is correct, but it’s a wild exaggeration to say uk is tiny, it’s rather average by country size, US citizens can often have a distorted view of country size because they happen to live in an unusually large one and the only large one with so much useful land. Like I said, all of that is secondary to how to avoid causing disruption within London’s really tight streets when moving these types of people. If she’s got to move from one of her estates such as the one in Norfolk to the palace that is over 100 miles, just fly into the back of palace and avoid causing trouble. Won’t be photo ops of course but I think better for everyone. For comparison, I used to live in Philly, and I remember that’s 90 miles from nyc and people fly that in a helicopter all the time.

God save the climate ? Society needs leaders, but development is sometimes hindered by structures, and a dynamic distribution of powers and responsibilities could sometimes help to achieve more. Second: I never would want to be a king, and feel like a prisoner behind guards and fences, even not if built of pure gold. The mass-elitarism is like a state of societal coma, where nothing moves.(to the better)

All these countries who have eliminated God from choosing who rules are as "royal" as my parakeet. God said it's up to him to annoint all rulers. The bloodline of these rulers goes back to pharaohs who migrated to Europe with the same intentions to pass themselves off as gods. These "royals" began eliminating God from annointing them by claiming birth rights to titles of 'gods', kings, etc. A birth canal does not replace an annointing by God. All these kids born into a rulers house does not automatically make the child a "royal". The pharaohs taught that only the bloodline of the 'gods' could rule, so they married their sister or father, the Europeans married cousins or other 'rulers'. The public won't buy that lie any longer so the "royals" go lenient now on who to marry, then automatically title them with whatever they want. None of these people are Duke's, Prince's, Earls, or Ladies. It's all rubbish & Liz of England has 72 billion pounds & 6,600 million acres of land that she suckered out of all you idol worshipers that she serrrrvvvvsss. Whose serving who? Whose kingdom are you worshiping in?

Rather strange that the vehicle the royals are travelling in are right in front. I mean i get that they are VVIP & all but isn’t that precisely why they shouldn’t be first in the line of sight of a sniper rifle or RPG? I don’t recall any other country where the first car in a motorcade is the VVIP’s car.
