i think SOTT was the crossover album between Prince being one of the greatest hit song writer to becoming one of the greatest musician [including live performances] in pop culture. JMO

One of my biggest regret #100 is never seeing Prince in concert!!!!!!

He was simply beyond belief in concert ... I saw him 17 times. I'm just sooo glad there is a KZread. I always thought every time I saw him " they'll never believe me 😊

Once at a party. Someone asked me to play a song. Then someone asked me if Prince was a ' good' guitarist. I said he was a virtuoso.....in a class of his own

It is hard to believe that he has been gone over for years because he is so in the moment and he's so powerful that you think he's performing life for you

I love this look I want that guitar 1987 was a good year for him

Idk if this is more rock Prince or funk Prince... Let's say funk rock 😄 But i do like it way more than the super cyrupy ballad Prince. So not the rock ballads like Purple Rain (i love those), but stuff like Do Me Baby or Scandalous i'm not huge fan of. Most Prince stuff i do love though, regardless of the genre.

Damn Sheila E. was so fine at the end.

This is (2 me) was a very dark song cuz it dealt with somber subjects (AIDS, drugs, The Space Shuttle Challenger xplosion, ect..) He masterfully put all of that yrs ills in 1 song. And it still resonates 2day. He talked about subjects most artists wouldn't dare touch(like the AIDS crisis or nuclear war).

I know Prince didn't like to be compared to Jimi Hendrix but to me they had so much in common. Jimi's journey was just way too short and his music would've evolved in such a way that even Prince would've agreed that they were so much alike. RIP Legends!!!

That drum line with sheila e. Was awesome...she was stunning..probably the only person who ever rivaled prince on sheer sexiness.
