Prince of Iran says current regime 'don't care about the people' | LBC

Nick Ferrari speaks to Reza Pahlavi, the exiled Crown Prince of Iran and founder of the National Council of Iran.
Pahlavi explains his exile from Iran, which came following the Iranian Revolution and expresses his desire for a better future for Iran - free from the current regime.
He also emphasises the 'oppressive nature' of the current Iranian regime and its impact on the region's instability.

Some fun historic facts about the crown prince's father: - He had a direct role in the 1953 coup against his democratically elected prime minister, designed by the British, executed by the CIA. - He declared that everyone should become a member of his "resurrection" uniparty, and people who refuse should be identified and given a passport so they can leave the country. - His infamous secret service was one of, if not the most ruthless and sadistic in Iranian history. But let's pretend none of that happened and instead have him talk about "how he feels in his heart, when he sees the current situation".

Not true.. for a "coup" to happen normally a lower rank officer or official in the government or an army takes action on a top or ruling official! So how can the shah make a "coup" when he was on the top? Furthermore, if you read the constitution of iran, the king ( shah) had a perfect right to appoint or dismiss a prime minister. Please learn that this is not 1357! We, the iranian people would not be fooled again by commis like you.

there is always someone who would bring up the myth of that "democratically elected prime minister". LOL. there was NO democratically elected guy. the PM was appointed by his majesty the Shah. there was no election. nothing. Mossadegh bankrupted the country. he couldn't lead Iran. so shah dismissed him but he refused to leave the office because he was far-right, narcissist with a Qajari background in his family. That's it. it was only after the crises he made that British and America decided to support the Shah because they could see that the chaos that Mossadegh created was making the situation ready for Tudeh Party (Stalin Puppets) to take power in Iran. they supported the Shah to stop communism and they were right in 1953. thanks to them.

This guys father was installed as a king by the CIA . In the documentary shown on TV it showed how he was taught the etiquette of behaving as a royal. The king went onto being a western puppet , starving his people and creating a secret police that suppressed the rights of the people and were famous for torturing the people . The king was deposed by the people by a popular revolution . Although strict sanctions have been imposed since 1979 and western governments are regularly destabilising Iran , the lives of people are better than living under the dictatorship of a ruthless king.

So where is the justice for those innocent people held in there without charges? So do not think grass is greener on the other side. The stance western countries taken over Israel is obvious, Israel has the right to defend itself what about Palestinian rights? If you bring Hamas saying they started it on Oct7th what about those illegal settlements in West bank? Has anyone brought any sanctions against Israel?
