You are so right to do that. Unfortunately it took me a long time to realize that I was turning my sister against me. After analysis I began to realize that my sister loved me. She could easily have put me out of her life altogether; but she didn't. We keep in touch now and every once in awhile I hear from my nephews. Wonder how he learned that, as Charles did not take responsibility for his actions either. He made excuses for his behavior. But no one is without faults. In a new book about King Charles he also describes his family as dysfunctional and talked about his parents. But if they want to share their own experiences in life it’s their prerogative. Well of course..pretty obvious harry is about harry and his family and their ability to get cash by any means necessary…in contrast William is also about his family but elevates service to others as well. A small child’s birthday can be celebrated anytime close to their birthday. The child will never know the difference.

It's very sad but sometimes it is better to cut ties. I felt I had no option with my sister but to do the same. I won't go into details but with hindsight she is definitely a narcissist. I felt she was ruining my life and after many many years of it I thought enough was enough. I know that she will never modify or change her behaviour and I would always be expecting her to revert to type. She even told my cousin on one occasion she could take my husband from me anytime she liked. Totally ludicrous and my husband has more sense as he knows what she's like. I wish her well but at least I have peace of mind now and that counts for a lot. I'm glad you don't miss yours either but I think it's because we reached a 100% decision it was the best course of action to take so no regrets. It's very true you can pick your friends but not your family.

Sorry for your loss. Sometimes absence is best. You can choose your friends but you can't choose your family. Life can deal some heavy blows how you weather them is down to you. Obviously having loving support can be a godsend but if certain family members are there to put the boot in...it's not worth having them in your life. Toxicity is best avoided.

anastasia46, my belief is the opposite. I think he has made a goddess out of his mother`s memory and sees himself as her defender in all things. He sees that others in the family have grieved and moved on and because she is the focus of his `religion` he hates them for being unfaithful to her and to him. And when his wife copied Diana`s perfume and manners and persuaded him that she is Diana the second ,any insult directed to his wife ,he takes as an insult to the memory of his mother. Probably all for a guilty conscience ,he is said to have refused a phone call from Diana at school and then she died .

No. Harry has long since rejected the core values that are universal to our species. People everywhere value family, integrity, honesty, duty, and loyalty regardless of which ideology or nation they give their allegiance. Harry did not attend the coronation to mend fences but because he dare not commit the final breach. Not attending would be the deepest wound he could give his father short of suicide and might forever lose his father's affection. Harry still values the position that he and his offspring retain in the line of succession. He still values what he stands to gain as inheritance from his father and so does Harry's wife.... That supposition is reinforced by the terms he demanded when trying to negotiate his attendance. Harry has kept his children apart from his side of the family. Yet he suddenly wants them front and center for the coronation. He wants both children in attendance. He wants his son treated on an equal basis with William's heir. He wants public acknowlegement of Archie's birthday during the formalities. He wants his children on the balcony. In short, he wants his offspring formally acknowledged as potential monarchs by the family he abandoned and betrayed. I hope to see all three cut from the succession as entirely unfit for the role of monarch. The children are innocent of course, but they are being raised outside the Commonwealth in ignorance of their heritage and by parents whose values are not in evidence. Everybody else in the succession is better qualified, most notably the Princess Royal.

Very well captured. But cutting them from the line of succession would be extremely difficult and is simply not realistic or feasible. Parliament will have to get involved, and the deed cannot simply be done: sufficient cause for the action must be given. Only treason is regarded as sufficient cause. While most will agree that Harry's actions have been treacherous, they were more in the sphere of nastiness, self interest and spite. I doubt whether a British parliament would find that his crazy shenanigans will meet the old fashioned requirements of the word treason. And even if they did, it would be a PR disaster for King C, as it would entangle him in protracted court proceedings and the Montecitto duo would milk this for all its worth as confirmation of their victimhood. It would go on and on and on, overshadowing King Charles's reign for too many years. A very, VERY bad idea indeed.

Let him get on with it, we don't care what he does or says, as long as he stays away. He's irrelevant!!

Besides ALL the repugnant acts by hairy and his handler, I am confused why no one mentions hairy's time in the military where (he tells us in his book) that when there would be surprise drug testing whoever was above him (in rank) would call him via cell and he would go driving out of the base like a wild man and come back when all was clear...this man who is ALLOWED to escape drug testing because he'd test dirty obviously, was ALLOWED to carry a WEAPON...had anything happened those officials would be responsible for every death, maimed etc should hairy lose it while carrying a loaded weapon

Should never have been allowed in the Marines in the first place..He couldn't pass the Exam to Join as a Captain..Someone else did the exam for him..I hope whoever is responsible for allowing this unstable Drunk Druggie to Join the Royal Marines. Should be downright ashamed of themselves..Our British Force's should be better than this..My father Joined the Royal Navy in 1926. Untill 1948. They had to prove they were decent upstanding Sailors. If they weren't. Out they went..He would be absolutely disgusted at the Royal Marines for allowing someone like Harry to Join them..Standards in the Force's must have gone downhill These days..

Sometimes I think things are over analyzed! Prince William mentioned “service” because at the coronation it was said that the cornerstone of King Charles’ reign will be service. Prince William had also pledged his allegiance to the King and country. I do not believe PW in any way was making a dig at Harry. At this point in time Harry is out because he left of his own free will (they did not freeze him out) and the Queen told him he cannot be half in and half out, just to name a few reasons. He is not a working royal, cannot be a working royal (at this time) and doesn’t even live there. Harry was probably far from William’s mind in that particular area. (Imo).

His attendance was probably due to his father's wealth and his own future inheritance. Would he have come if his family were titled but impoverished nobility? I think not.

Money can't buy respect. The reaction to Harry's presence at the coronation (from the public, media and those present around him) illustrates this completely. If there's any positive to come out of his presence at the event, it's an affirmation of what the British public value: true service.

Harry attending the coronation was for selfish reasons. He clearly wasn't happy with the unity of the entire family. Harry's hate and resentment extends to even the guests/ other royal guests that he couldn't even stick around to mingle. Harry knows he's the villain of his own story.. He's in the hole he dug for his brother and sister-in-law... with no way out.. we expect to hear his views and his feelings soon through Netflix or Meghan's podcasts or interviews... and he's going to come out as the poor lonely boy... shoved to the side by the Wales family

You are totally full of it going by clearly not facts on what really happened, but your own unstable thoughts . Thinking you have some kind of psychic powers. And if he would have stayed people would probably say oh Harry missed Archie’s Birthday. You can’t satisfy everyone in life so you have be an adult and make your own decisions, if other people don’t like the decisions Harry makes for himself they can kiss his Royal behind. That’s what his father should have done when his parents forced him into a marriage he didn’t want. But he wasn’t man enough.

I am really lost and tired of this psychologist. What does he mean he couldn’t understand what William was saying in his speech. Let me break it down for you . William was recommitting himself to his king, father and the nation . He promised to SERVE his country as Prince of Wales. It has nothing to do with his brother. Everyone is talking about what he feels and should do about Harry. But without saying a word, he’s saying a lot. William is going on with his life with the rest of the RF.

What Harry has done is unforgivable. He should be shunned by his family without any chance of reconciliation. Let him live the life he has chosen.

It isn’t an issue that Harry made his immediate family a priority but that his actions and decisions have led to him being put in a situation that his immediate family were not in the same priorities of the duty he has to his royal family. He chose a vicious divisive wife that made an alternative, he had the choice to not fall for her lies and follow through her orders and break off the relationship to seek someone who not only was more suitable to be a family person, but someone who actually cared about his well-being. Instead he choice someone who has meddled with his insecurities and encourages him to have his reality be altered so he can rely solely on his wicked direction that got him in this mess. Markle is the instigator but Harry made the choices to empower her and become self destructive, hurting so many in the process. And hearing that Harry ended up at a polo game the next day in a different location than in Montecito demonstrates that his immediate family is not his priority. His selfish endeavors are.

I think William's emphasis on service was a reminder to all, country and commonwealth, that service is the core value for the Monarchy and both he and the King are re-affirming that committment with the Coronation. In the next year, Charles and Wm will be traveling to All the realms to reenforce that committment. One of them will also make a visit to the US in the next year.

Prince Louis will grow & mature, as most do. He will be fine. He’s not bratty just a little mischievous five yr. old when he gets bored, same as most other five yr. olds.

Psychology is one thing, the pledge of a fealty is more than 1000 years old and the text is pretty much what it had been for centuries. It doesn't necessarily provide a sound foundation for a psychological analysis of William.

At least Louis behaved well during most of the ceremony, and, made a good attempt at the national anthem. Harold hardly moved his lips.

Unless Harry is made to feel and actually BE treated equal to his brother and his wife with Catherine, this will not change. He has always been jealous of his brother, and has continued this as he got older with an immense chip in his shoulder. He will come to regret all this later in life when he looks back and sees what he has missed. Andrew has made many mistakes in his life and is hugely disliked by many. However, never has he spoken out against his family.

The Birthday could quite easily been postponed for a day as the boy is only 4. How many of us have had to do this due to work commitments/shifts/employment abroad 🙂

I didnt understand his points on Prince William's speech. It was ver clear.... 1. My father has served 50 years.... 2. All walks in life ... service... gave examples hospital workers, etc.. 3. That he Prince William will serve the King, the UK and the Commonwealth 4. Why would Prince William talk about when he becomes King when it was about King Charles coronation???

Andrew knows he has nothing without them. So he knows to keep his Mouth shut. In return they let him wear the cape. Harry came and left and he did the right thing. I'm not a fan of Harry anymore but he still cares for his Dad. Harry did the right thing and nobody should be picking him apart for how he handled this event. What expressions he made or didnt. He's human. As much as I'm not a fan of Harry anymore I still pray for his and his little family happiness to go on and to stop the nonsense he and his wife are causing. They both need to just get on with their lives and enjoy their two little ones. Had he not done all this trap he would be enjoying his life with his little family and spending time with the royal at private gatherings and holidays. Every family has trap but you don't make money off of it. You just go your way.

I've seen several comments from people accusing King Charles of deliberately arranging the Coronation on 6th May so that it would clash with Archie's birthday. It's scary how truly stupid and ignorant some people are. They just defy logic.

After all that Harry has done , why are we still talking reconciliation?

The gravitas of the event did not escape me, indeed, the weight of the crown, both literally and figuratively, appeared to weigh heavily on Charles throughout the ceremony. After the death of Queen Elizabeth II, he did state that this was a moment he had been dreading, and I don’t believe this was just in reference to his mother’s death. When he was stripped of his regalia and kneeled, it brought to mind how the first Charles may have looked just before his beheading.

Harry needs to fade from British media. Remember, GB was fine and won the war after Edward III abdicted. Focus on the members of the working Royals and forget about Harry and Markle!

Harry put his wife and children first before his father, step mother, brother. Good on him. Only a strong, confident man, a good husband, and father will do that. Big respect to Harry. There’s no such thing as royalty, it’s an imaginary thing that childlike people buy into.

Ruminating - In the US there is much joking about family members gathering together for the Thanksgiving holiday dinner. The family members often do not get along, they disagree ideologically, however they share blood and history and so they do gather. They respect the lineage even if there is deep fundamental disagreement as to life choices. A family gathering for feast is personal and not up for public scrutiny. Unfortunately, what the British monarchy does often impacts vast numbers of people - hello coronation of a king - and so is on very public display when the family gathers. The wealth and power of the British Monarchy sadly throws family squabbles into the public arena. The squabbles are typical of all families; however, the public dissection of the squabble electrifies the situation. Of course, Harry came. At the end of the day, he was just supporting his dad and the rest of the family in their choices, even though Harry does not want this world for himself or his immediate family. It is sad, the rest of the 'public face' of the family has painted one or another of the family in a harsh light. The coronation was just a special family dinner on steroids. I feel empathy for Charles, Camella, William, Kate, Harry and all. Harsh karma to play out family drama on a world stage. How fortunate most of us are blessed to live in relative obscurity.

People say why was he there supporting the Royal family after everything he has done to bash them down. The simple answer is, he wasn't there from the Royal family or our King, he was there out of respect for his father. People forget that Charles is still his dad, and his dad asked him to be there regardless of the pomp and ceremony.
