Prince had an insane work ethic!
Prince was perhaps one of the most motivated and prolific musicians in modern history. His productivity and desire to create were unmatched!

I think the statement by Eric Leeds says it all. Out of all the recordings he made with Prince, about 5% made it to our ears. The vault contains a treasure trove of unreleased music that will hopefully see the light of day.

Eric Leeds inspired me to pick up a flute when I was teen, purely for his part in the song 'Power Fantastic'. I think it's the finest, most sensitive and subtle and raw flute work I've ever heard in a pop song.
this is exactly what I want the netflix documentary to do...highlight his work ethic.

He also tended to be overly harsh and cruel and duplicitous toward his employees, forced people around him to abide by stringent religious/cultist mores, and also treated women he worked with like disposable sex toys to exploit. He was a fine and talented artist undeniably, but he could also be a horrible man.

Prince wasn’t an perfectionist when it came to creativity. He was a virtuoso. Many songs on SOTT were done on a broken mixer board and he left it as is. He would not stop his creative flow.
