I have read that young Japanese tourists will visit PEI just to go to the "Green Gables" house and they even come dressed in period clothing! My travel buddy traveled to Maine and as far up as PEI in about 2017 or 2018. I hope to visit eventually.

Love PEI and Nova Scotia! Been there twice, still haven't seen it all. Last trip we made it to Meat Cove and it was my wife's favorite place. Hope to get back, spend more time to see the places we missed, then ferry over to Newfoundland where we've never been . My wife loves Puffins, sure would love to take her there to see them. We did the Bird Island Tour and saw some. Our first trip we stayed in Tatamagouche and spent the night at the Train Station Inn. We have a special-needs daughter, down syndrome, and she loved the loft bed in the Box Car Jimmie. Both y'all and the Newstate Nomads are in Nova Scotia. Following and bringing back lots of fond memories. Looking forward to Newfoundland. BTW, we ferried from NS to PEI and we were hurrying to make the ferry and when we got there it was pulling out. Yeah, memories!

A joy to watch your videos as you weave your ancestors & the current time as you travel. The 26" bike for John should give him the proper leg length so his leg extends more when peddling (reduces joint pain in your knees, soreness in your back and neck, and is much healthier for your body over long miles) instead of the mini where his leg may stay bent at the knee as he peddles up & down. However if he had a short inseam then the mini would be better. Whatever John is comfortable riding is the key. Looking forward to next week in Nova Scotia…the singer Anne Murray lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Another wonderful recap of my recent trip to PEI. I liked the wall of historic Cows T-shirts they could do up as a special order. It gave me several bursts of laughter. The cheese was cloth wrapped making it look ugh but it sure tasted good. For soft ice cream lovers, there is a kiosk in the Summerside Walmart parking lot that adds fresh fruit into theirs. Another wonderful video. Interesting to compare and contrast our experiences on PEI. Liked the shot in the historic house where you were showing the spindles on the stair rail and hearing about your family connection to this place. I became interested in Anne of Green Gables a few years back when we saw a wonderful production at a Sacramento area high school. Anne was particularly good. But I had no idea it was set on PEI until we arrived and everything is Anne OGG this and Anne OGG that. We enjoyed the Anne OGG Museum too. Other highlights for us were walking on the beach to Tea Cup rock twice, amazing churches for such small communities and an assortment of lighthouses that ring the island. We also enjoyed the Canadian Potato museum and the roadside stands that sold New Potatoes and other veggies like wax beans and blueberries

I did put it on the screen but you probably missed it. Darlene Stevens, A Bridge Across Time. That's where my channel name comes from.

Boycott Rad! They refuse to ship to Hawaii. Things I remember about PEI. Cute little pastel houses of different colors, miles of potato fields, fields of daisies, and Lobster boils and Lobsters sold on the side of the road. Remember camping under a breeding group of Blue Herons.

Absolutely. I try to put everything I can in my Amazon Storefront and that link is always in the Description Box below each video. But here is a direct link to it: www.amazon.com/dp/B07L44PSZC?tag=onamzfromshet-20&linkCode=ssc&creativeASIN=B07L44PSZC&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.KC14LNYVPOL9 It is one of my favorite hats.

It is the Moonshade by moonfab.com. They have just added a new product called a "moon wall" which we have ordered and used. It drapes down the side to give even more shade.

@@FromShetoMe I miss you too. I had listened to this blog before and each time when I hear you read that poem I get tears in my eyes it is so touching the words are so beautiful and you read it with such depth of feeling for their meaning. That’s why I just left a heart because I couldn’t express what I wanted to say.
