    Thank you for the review. Nice and detailed and like the remarks. Don't agree with the regulator comment though as for only boiling water you use other systems. This is a system you would use for cooking and then regulating the output is high on the list. If you car camp and still cook freeze dried stuff. Check out Lisa Thomas her book, dirty dining. I really like it and use it on motorized trips.

    Peter, Let's agree to disagree ;-). No, I understand what you mean but my old one has a super regulator that also works fine while simmering. The remark is not about boiling water. Then you just need speed and power. I am hobby cook myself. Like most professional kitchen stoves - I have a huge Electrolux - I would prefer just 3/4 turn from simmer to max. And the difficult thing with the cooksets is that you can hardly see the flame and sometimes a bit more noise works well too. I'll check the booktip! Cheers, Gijs

    Thanks for the review, will check out your other videos for sure! Recently bought the 2.3L version and they seem to include a decent sized cloth that prevents the inside of both pots from scratching. The handle is still wobbles on the non-stick pot, might try to add some additional rubber to the ends if it becomes an issue. Other pot fits very nicely tho. Wish they would put perhaps tape down the igniter, seem to have scratched slightly inside the burner. Yet to test it out, but looking forward to it! edit: Also bought it at roughly 40-50% discount

As you know the gas canister stoves they don't work well without liquid injection upon the winter, especially my country doesn't allow the LV canister contains Propane, means only n&iso butane they are not well on the cold condition... I thought this stove has a big Brass Tube/Pile on the burner so it might help to be vapord gas as the inverted position even though Primus didn't declare about it. I'll purchase the same stove soon and hope it works as the inverted postion. Here goes official reply from Primus support: 1. All our stoves are tested by third part at low and high pressure (0,5 and 2 bar) and the CO-value is to be below 2000 ppm. For the Primetech the values at full power at 1 bar is about 200 ppm CO 2. For the Primetech it works better at high effect. My comments: Having 2000 ppm is certainly a lot, comparable to MSR Reactor, but CO 200 ppm for Primetech (if not a typo?!) is a pleasant value, compared to what reported on zenstoves website, e.g. MSR Pocket rocket also around 200. Conclusion that higher power gives less CO also matches advices from zenstoves manual.

    Too bulky and heavy for what it is. Why would anyone want two pots? Trangia is selling more and more 27 models and even the mini. People is a bit fed up with bulk and weight. This is from the very old mindset of charging for bells and whistles. Nowadays, people prefer more focused gear for lunch lighter weight. For this price, one can go with titanium cookware and an ultra light and compact burner. This is probably a good product, but if I should say my opinion, an obsolete mindset.

    You should not have the pots on the stove while igniting. That is your problem. Ignite first then place the pot on.

  • @BenjaminJamesYoung

    @BenjaminJamesYoung

    4 жыл бұрын

    What happens when you try to ignite the fuel with the pot on is that the fuel gas gets trapped under the pot and mixes with air. The resulting mix or concentration of fuel and air produces a mix that contains too much fuel for ignition. For butane, if the concentration is over (if I remember correctly) 8-9% then it simply will not ignite. That’s why it’s not igniting with the pot on!

  • @BenjaminJamesYoung
