No it does not have frets, a lot fretless basses have frets drawn onto them but like in a permanent fretboard way in production so you can roughly see where the notes are

No it does not have frets, a lot fretless basses have frets drawn onto them but like in a permanent fretboard way in production so you can roughly see where the notes are

My dad got me into them when I was like 10, there was only me and one other mate that liked them out of like 20 or so of us. I'm only 26 now but I still listen to them with my only mate that likes them. Some people just don't get the funky side of it sometimes.

Nah. Billy Sheehan is the Steve Vai of bass playing. Claypool is cool and unique but not technical. Sheehan is insane. Just unbelievable.

@@gmmakesmehurl Slap/Pop, have you even LOOKED at this video, his thumb is BARELY on the strings, look at the two hand tapping he does here and don't forget he does so on a fretless, which make it very hard to do all of it in tune AND he does all of that while singing.
I didn't discover Primus and Les Claypool's solo stuff until 2007ish. Between 2007-2015 I went to 6 or 7 of their shows. These guys are mind boggling to watch live.

They opened for Rush on the Roll the Bones tour. Fucking legends, both bands. I remember they started their set by playing a few bars of Tom Sawyer. The audience lost their minds. Best show of my teens no question.
Rage Against, Primus, Blues Traveller, Soundgarden. The early-mid 90's had great music. It was a big American rock flex on the world. Crazy creativity. Organic artistry.

The Dennis Miller Show was awesome because at that time only he would have a band like Primus (only then starting to make waves) on his show. I remember Rollins Band being on another time. I don’t remember how long he had this show but it wasn’t long.

One time I listed to this album on acid. That was the day I understood Primus...like "I get it now" LOL.
