In 95, my older cousin had a Primus tape, so I asked him "What the hell is Primus?" "That´s music for weirdos" he said, and I was hooked for life..

My friend's sister worked in a tape reproducing factory in 1990 and handed me a blank tape with Frizzle Fry on it. I said "This guy sings the song of my soul". It's like a fisherman to hook you...

THis bass really captured how Les's bass sounds now.

Too 3 is a tough one man. So many amazing greats to pick from. Sgt. Pepper, To Defy The Laws of Tradition, Toys Go Winding Down, My Name Is Mud, Tommy the Cat, Too Many Puppies, John the Fisherman, Shake Hands With Beef, Lacquer Head, etc. Picking the best three is rough, honestly.
You make Les Claypools work look easy.😅
Jeez, nine years ago, still sounds fresh, I only tapped on the post coz I thought I recognized the guitar as a ct. Who's guitars I found for the 1st time yesterday here on yt what a coincidence, be it a tribute to a ct guitar or not it's definitely equally as distinctive as a ct bass that's what caught my eye. I'm sooo glad I pressed play, what you draw out of that guitar and your technique is nothing short of genius (don't want to blow smoke up your chuff but I'm going to) I thoroughly enjoyed every second of that post I listened and watched in absolute awe, brilliant to say the least.👍❤✌ Ta lar
There’s a chromatic triple hammer on in Eleven, by the way. It’s a little hard to do since you have to bar two strings and hammer on at the same time, but it really makes the song. Incredible playing, house, tone, and of course BASS. Jealous beyond words.

You have no idea how long I've been searching for someone else who can accuratley cover Les Claypools version of 'Master of Puppets'
this rocks man. technical playing, great timing, and one hell of a bass!
Awesome. beautiful bass as well
I'm jealous of the bass and the skill!
I love Primus too, but you, man... You picked songs so amazing! Awesome!
Thank you for playing Iowan Gal, also thanks for fitting this paragon so well.
That bass sounds amazing. I want one.
I keep coming back to this after all these years... This is the closest anyone is coming to Les 🤙🏼
Thanks for these medley videos! I've learned how to play many Primus songs just by getting a close look at you playing!
HOLY SHIT PRECISION, you must be a super fan! good work
we need more of this!!!
Dude sick job on Nature Boy. That funky breakdown is so good.
Your strumming is beautiful

Les Claypool and the music of Primus is (with of course other influences..but mainly) what got me to buy a bass at 24 with no prior music knowledge...of course their music seems like the hardest to learn of course..UGH. Yet keeping the mindset of finding the fun of learning a whole new language, finding fun in the lengthy journey, I'm sure some day these videos will help learning once to that point. Amazing bass playing you do!
Excellent
Mind blowing.
This is inspiring. Really cool
Again, bravo. Bravo.
Nice work keep playing
great job!!

aaaaaaa, you are sekundus!!!1 dude, great skill, everytime when I will need primus covers, gonna watch you and make your lines and your band songs! it may suck even more!
Extinction Burst was awesome!!.....Well ...It was all awesome!
Hey Joe...I've definitely seen your other stuff before, but I just wanted to praise your flawless 3-finger picking especially on "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver"...such a difficult song to play unless you have your '3-finger' style on point. Hat's off to ya Joe!!!
I like that you finished on Wynona's Big Brown Beaver.
i geeked when you did to defy the laws of tradition
Geil, du hast so ein Teil! 😂 Sau geil!
All of it was great, but I especially liked hearing Extinction Burst.
It's actually an envelope filter rather than an auto-wah. I think he has an octave-down on it as well, but since he has it on one pedal, it's probably actually a microsynth or something like that. Hmm... I'm actually curious as well, now.
2:55 -- This riff has been stuck in my head for weeks, but can't remember where it's from.
