I really like Primož's philosophy, not to let such things burden you and affect your present/future performance. I think he will get stronger after this, people like him just don't give up and keep coming back. I wish him all the best in the recovery.

It’s hard to see Primoz going through these things over and over again. You wish that to Nobody. Doesn’t matter who’s fault it is, Primoz not competing is a loss for the sport.

100%. Especially when his form was steadily improving. Some of the crashes in his career have been his fault or at least could have been avoided, but this wasn't one of them; it was pure bad, tragic luck.

He seemed to be getting stronger as well. I was really hoping to see Primoz battle it out like stage 11 or maybe even better later in the race. Really disappointed to see him have to drop out yet again. I was rooting for him to do well.

Roglic has the worst luck with crashes. It's too bad this year because he was looking stronger than I expected. I don't think he could have won, but podium was a possibility.

He has a lot of bad luck, but he (and his team) also often positions himself poorly. If you compare it to how Jumbo protects Jonas in sprint states, it’s an entirely different story and they do it every single stage for years at this point.

In the last 10 kms of the stage , you have to be in the front of the pack , not in the middle like primoz . It was nor smart for an experienced driver like him.

Noticing Primoz having so many crashes, has he been checked for eye conditions that could explain his bad luck. Does he have Retinitispigmantosa (this restricts the peripheral vision over time). Being a cyclist myself with this eye condition I know how easy it is for accidents to occur because you just can’t see what’s beside you.

I think the road furniture and traffic calming techniques these days are so varied and numerous from town to town, and their reaction time in milliseconds remains the same but they're riding faster and faster = less reaction time to a greater variety of road obstacle = crashes that take out Roglic etc. This last crash was caused by a weird 10cm mini central reservation road hump separating two lanes of traffic. Never seen this before and the riders have radio forewarning but still....

A big loss for TdF to lose Rogi, even if he was unlikely to win. He's been unlucky with crashes and it makes no sense to send him out there after yesterday's crash - at last, common sense prevails. Rogi might not get another chance at TdF, although I wouldn't write him off just yet, so maybe he can bounce back and set his sight on La Vuelta de España. Bora Hansgrohe now needs someone to step up to the plate, let's see who can take it on, at least to win a stage or two for Rogi and the team.

He has probably at least 2 more years before he starts to decline. The fact he started older than other riders will keep his mind in the game later, and we've seen various riders at their best at even older ages lately.

He'd be the oldest in the modern era to win the tour and 2nd oldest in history next year. As much as I'd love to see him win it it's probably not the most realistic of expecations. I do hope he is in the mix next year though. And there is always the Vuelta and Giro.

It's disappointing as he will never win this one maybe even finish it. There is some problem with positioning, awareness and general peloton stewardship that will never get fixed as he is too old. And I don't believe at bad luck. Really exciting rider and will miss him tomorrow but hopefully he gets back for Vuelta. His team mates I never liked as I would surround him with more climbers and diesels. I guess the two German rider are injured (Kamna and Schachmann). This is also why I don't believe in more than 2 favorites in TdF. Just wondering if Ineos would have been a better fit?
