PRIMORDIAL GODS - THE GENESIS OF THE GREEK GODS
Living Mythology is an attempt to entertain, relax and educate all in the one place. We are trying to forge narratives so that people can experience the religions and mythologies of the world as they were meant to be. Not as dry academic monoliths, but as living breathing tales and parables as experienced by the peoples who worshipped these beings, in an attempt to make sense of their own lives and the world around them.
We begin with the Primordial beings, the very genesis of the Greek Gods that will then go to those you may know better, Hera, Zeus, Apollo, Ares etc.
This channel is in its infancy, so we hope to improve and develop it as we gain more experience.
All of the tales are taken from very conflicting traditions across many centuries, so there will be many a moment when decisions need to be made to create a more cohesive narrative. If we present something that seems to be in contrast to details, rest assured we have researched many forms of the traditions and come to the conclusions we have done to form the videos.
There will NEVER be total agreement on any of these narratives due to the history and differing ways they developed over the centuries.
These videos are for entertainment and an easy gateway to the subject. If you wish more academic details then please direct your attention to the wide source material and others who perform those types of academic video essays.

Beautifully done, lovely debut for the channel! Greek mythology is truly fascinating yet at the same time strange and savage. I guess this counts for many cultures' mythology so I can't wait to see where this channel's journey goes!

I was always aware that my knowledge of Greek mythology was rather superficial, but these twenty minutes showed me how much I still don't know. It also made me think that I am lucky not to have been born into a family of Greek gods. I'm also looking forward to hearing you sing as Siren.

Both of you make such an all star team. Your amazing story telling is like listening to one of the ancients or a village elder recounting the epic deeds of heroes , heroines, warriors, poets and lovers. Well done!! Now this is what the primordial gods were about, it's a shame that others have tried to do this in other media formats but cocked it up (probably far too many heretical influences from certain religious fonts of 'knowledge') but so far this is exactly what the greeks knew and handed down from their forefathers. Just the stories and not the versions others want to try to sideline, once again Mr B and young Miss L you've done a slap bang great job, please keep it up and thank you.

'Did *I* do this?' Baldermort. The amount of anguish invested in that line. A husband and father looking at what has happened and fearing wit hevery fiber of everything, i nspite of all reason saying otherwise, that this is his doing, that he somehow caused pain to that which he holds most dear and perhaps hurting and regretting that there is no way to *fix* any of it. I find it rather interesting that Myceneans always placed their most important mythological emphasis on stuff locked underground to cause earthquakes, and this somewhat carried over to the rest of Greece, Italy, and Turkey: The Minotaur being locked underground? Earthquake Earthshaker (later split into Poseidon and Hades) coming up from underground to get Kore? Earthquake The Cyclopes and Hekhtonhekares locked underground? Earthquake The Python underground? Earthquake Typhon under Mount Etna? Earthquake.

Excellent, Fantastic. This is almost what I always hoped for, especially hoping for Egyptian, North American First Nations Mythos, and others. What I always wanted was these stories told through animation, cartoons etc, because I think that would be the best way to express them. However, this is awesome, and I will most definitely stay to see what else is to come.
