@@IUsePCP Andy, thats not very nice to say about my dear friend Joe in this video, he is not fat and certainly is a very skilled woodsman who has built log cabins from wild logs. This is a privately owned 1,000 acre forest, have some respect it is not a suburb, if you owned this much land yourself you wouldn't act this way, just pretend you're a better person than you are for now until you rise up and get there please. The internet is full of vile creatures pretending to be people, the worlds culture has only gotten worse from people like yourself being able to interact with everyone else Andy. Im not thankful for your view or the money I made for said view, it wasn't worth it. -Mitch

There is no better trip to take with a bunch of guys then to camp out in the middle of nowhere and make everything from scratch. Last year when I graduated high school me and 7 other friends drove 3 hours north of where I live to a really nice area next to a state park where there was a really nice river bend and we spent the week in a handmade camp. Best trip I ever went on. We caught and ate fish and one of my friends was an absolute expert in cooking rabbit and he caught 5 and they were fucking amazing. We literally planned out everything we were gonna do from just watching videos from people like Primitive Technology and stuff. It was fucking fun as hell. Please people you need to try it.

@IamNemoN017 жыл бұрын
I've actually done this before. But it was kind of by accident. A few buddies and I went camping. We made a fire by the river. We found a very large rock that jutted out from the ground, and made a fire next to it. The fire got so hot that one side of the rock split and fell onto our fire, but still giving us plenty of room to add more wood. The hot slab of stone left a clean surface from the inside of the rock, so we didn't need to clean the rock. We cooked our steak on the rock and it was pretty awesome. While we were cooking the steak a curious beaver kept watching us, so we threw it some of the steak, and it seemed to enjoy it. (Beavers are scavengers and eat fish and other meat - just in case anyone wondered.) Anyhow, that's my story. :)

salt is not just used for flavor, if you salt the meat first, it will help kill some surface bacteria, but more importantly it will pull moisture from the meat, and form a pellicle, which will tend to let more smoke adhere, which also helps to cure the meat. and tastes good too.

A buddy showed me a trick with stone grills. He's native and his grandpa taught him that they would set the edges of the stone up on large bits of wood. The ground absorbs the heat and the stone will get hotter if you rest it on wood. Then in the gap that is open underneath set small kindling-sized wood but don't light it directly, let the main fire catch on the kindling and burn toward the other end of the stone. Periodically add more small twigs and kindling to the cold side and shove them toward the fire with a poker leaving a little air. This is for cooler cooking like barbaque and find for thin cuts of meat. For thick meat like steak that you want to sear or something you need a very hot fire for you need to surround the stone on three sides. And for those fires he said use your poker to shove hot coals from the fire side to the cold side under the stone. Also the key is to do this slowly so the stone heats slow. Otherwise it will break or chip off.

You should categorise the rocks for viewers, never use rocks from a river bed or rocks that hold moisture as it will explode when it reaches a certain temp. Campers should be aware before attempting to convert rocks into a frying pan, you might end up losing an eye!

@sanmane7911
8 жыл бұрын
+lordswit6666 external moisture is ok, riverbed stones absorb water over hundreds or thousands of years. This gets trapped in the center of the rock, as you heat the outside the moisture trapped inside heats up building up pressure which eventually causes the rocks to "burst".

Please people you need to try it.

awesome, primitive technolgy never heard of it
I've actually done this before. :)

salt is not just used for flavor, if you salt the meat first, it will help kill some surface bacteria, but more importantly it will pull moisture from the meat, and form a pellicle, which will tend to let more smoke adhere, which also helps to cure the meat. and tastes good too.

right on thanks
Very nice job on video. The best thing is the fellowship and just getting away from the world. Thanks guys! Blessings

That's the way to camp! A real meat feast
You should categorise the rocks for viewers, never use rocks from a river bed or rocks that hold moisture as it will explode when it reaches a certain temp. Campers should be aware before attempting to convert rocks into a frying pan, you might end up losing an eye!

@sanmane7911
8 жыл бұрын
+lordswit6666 external moisture is ok, riverbed stones absorb water over hundreds or thousands of years. This gets trapped in the center of the rock, as you heat the outside the moisture trapped inside heats up building up pressure which eventually causes the rocks to "burst".
