There's a large difference in making a campsite and making a home. These aren't suitable to live in, let alone even up to code. Take the craft as it is; naturalist camping techniques. It's beautiful, but ultimately meant to return to the earth with decay. EDIT) Not to mention, this is a very amature build. He's got building generally, but handles his tools poorly.

I think we should strap matt down with a go pro, a bag of batteries and a parachute and push him out of an airplane over a thick jungle and see how well he does without a keyboard and mom's basement to brag from. Smh...this guy has skills and I'm not at all quick to say that about anyone.

You did a great job! From start to finish! I liked the way you showed the fire place from the beginning! You chose the place where you were going to build your structure, then right away you put your fireplace. Not only does it provide hight, light and a source for cooking food, but it cures the soil towards the way the flames travel so there's no fire while you build around and on top of it. Very smart!! 👍

As I watched the chap splitting the stone slabs, I fully expected him to find some fossil shells. I'm not sure ifhis rock was shale or slate, but I know ( as perhaps many do) of a bay on the south coast of the UK (which I think is part of our so-called Jurassic Coast) where almost every stone you spit open contains a fossilised ammonite On a different note, not all of these materials are entirely natural. Whilst slate and shale split easily between the original layers of sediment, some of the pieces looked too square and straight edged to have simply fallen off an outcrop. I suspect they were once roofing tiles from a long derelict building. The same goes for the wall stone: many of the blocks looked too similar in overall size and thickness not to have been previously shaped by human hands...
