The stock exchange price is 26 euros / MWh = HUF 10,000. 1 m3 of gas is about 10 kWh, so 1 MWh = 100 m3 10,000 / 100 = HUF 100 /m3 !!! about the same as the Hungarian gas price with utilities reduced below the average consumption! And if someone exceeds the average, they pay HUF 700 as a "reduced market gas price"! Since the fall of 2022, the market price of gas has been continuously decreasing, today's price of 26 euros is not at all outrageous, it was at this level a year ago, but it was also 13 euros! A year ago, the average price was 35 euros! And the companies pay the 2nd highest gas price in the EU, which increases inflation! So the Hungarian residential gas price is not cheaper than the stock price!

US are positive example because of their achievements, and never teach others, for example, US left Afghanistan when job was done, without occupation or "teaching" (Afghanistan people chose to forbid women attend schools and cut throats). The country is divided. 55% favours PM Orban and 35-40 percent of the population is with the divided opposition. It has been going on for more than 10 years. As far as salaries are concerned, the majority is far from a German or French one e.g., but with proper skills you can earn a relatively good salary to make ends meet,, especially in the capital and some regional centres. Many people hate him, but still has enough supporters to keep him in power. Still there is not any better leader than him to fill his shoes to be honest.

A very fine, subtle, humorous, clever interview indeed and, to my astonishment, I found I much enjoyed listening to Viktor Orban. What a clever operator. I have called him out many a time, and done a lot of digging, for his stance over Ukraine and his apparent love-in with Putin - how, why, when, what changed him, when, who changed him, why., any incentives? I think the rapier moment of the interview., the gentle, rueful funny moment.... was his wish to see Trump in post. And, that, fine interviewer...finally, said it all. .It explained "everything" - for me. Why he has changed from the passionate speech more than two decades ago about 1956...to today. Has he really dismissed Hungary's suffering at the hands of the USSR?

Man do I wish we had someone like that among our political leaders, but it seems that the time of real leaders has come to an end and they have been replaced by yesmen....

Europe needs more of Orban and less of WEF neoliberalism and corporate interest politics.

Energy security? We are depending on russion gas, not because we cannot buy from other source but because it is Putins interest and Orban's interest too as we pay 4x higher price for russian gas compared to Chechia. A company is wedged between the two countries through which the gas is purchased, owned by Orban's crony, who takes the bulk of the profits payed by the Hungarian taxpayers... Orbans family1s visible private wealth is now 100 billion forints, he has dozens of cronies through which he owns similar size wealth each... He is manually controlling economy because he belevies he has experties in everthing, but he has not a clue about economy... Ha ha, ridiculous! Orbán is a complete puppet - of Moscow. He serves Russia's interests, not Hungary's.

PM Orban will never make his people suffer unnecessarily, and if there are no good options to choose from, he will be first in-line to take the pain with his people, and I believe he would not hesitate to make the ultimate sacrifice for his people if it ever came to that. He has earned the love and respect of his people who will most likely follow him anywhere.
