Definitely the best winger itw at his prime. Cannot think of anyone more dominant than him during the 2015 rwc other than maybe habana. Absolute beast. (Lomu would be proud)

The 2015 RWC try against France is still one of the most impressive displays of brute force and power I've seen. He didn't have a long distance to accelerate and still carried enough speed and power to mow down three Frenchmen before he scored. Unbelievable.

Never seen anyone fall off as hard as Julian Savea did.... from undoubtedly the best winger in the world to barely being able to crack the Hurricanes within a couple years. God knows what happened, but 2015 was the start of his downfall and he just progressively got worse. A real shame too because he was on track to break lots of records.... at least we got to witness one of the greatest wingers ever between 2012-2014 though.

I notice Chris Ashton defending for England in a number of these. I always wondered why he got a reputation for poor defence (very unfairly in my view). Now I think it’s simply because in a big % of his international matches he was tasked with marking The Bus. Not an easy job and would be unflattering on any opposing winger’s defensive record.
