What i like about Bale is, his strong run. He manage to keep his balance at high speed. Not many footballers posses this. You can never beat bale sprint shoulder to shoulder. He's too strong.

He really was one of a kind. Probably only behind Ronaldo in having the most athletic ability of any player in history. It's a shame the injuries and his attitude let him down. I really believed he would win the Ballon D'Or at some stage in his career. Same with Neymar.

What attitude? He won literally everything in the game and scored possibly the greatest champions league final goal of all time. Honestly, people are never pleased these days. He got injured. Again and again. It happens with the fastest players. But to say his attitude let him down is bonkers.

@@bobobahia He was happy to see out his contract getting paid the big bucks and not play while wasting the last of his prime year's sitting on the bench and playing golf. Most other players would have forced a move out of Madrid but not him, he was happy enough doing nothing. Great career but individually he could have been so much more and easily had the ability to win a Ballon D'Or.

Bales real ability was as a ball striker on the run, he never seemed to slow down when he attempted a shot. Keepers are never set, they don't expect the shot.
