I don’t have any confirmation for this theory, but it is my suspicion that Alex is good at *both* Ben-work and Tom-work. He just seems like that kind of cool dude.

The plot twist is that Tom and Ben were created by Alex as clones of himself. They're 2 different sides of his personality that he has sent out to do work for him as his minions so he has time to paint his minis. They're 2 sides of the same coin.

I think Corax being an emo/edgelord/whatever is more a meme than based in the canon. He lead a revolution before the emperor found him, he fought a pretty long lasting Guerilla war on Istvaan V against several other legions and although he lost most of his legion, he didn't give up or went emo as people say. He even resisted Dorn when he wanted him to stay at Terra because he wanted to continue to fight and to chase the traitors. Oh and I love the scene where they were taking the gene seed to rebuild the legion and the Custodes were like "YoU aRe NoT aLlOwEd To UsE pSyChIc PoWeRs!!1" and Corax reaction was more or less "Psychic powers? Which psychic powers? I didn't see anyone use psychic powers. Did you guys see anyone use psychic powers?" I think the emo trope of Corax and the Raven Guard is a meme because of the raven and the black armour. Their actual trope is that of revolutionaries and I find that pretty cool.

Corax primarily is cool af fighter. The emo shit is a meme and TTS didnt help in that manner. Him manhandling lorgar pre and post ascension was brutally cool. And his rampage on Istvaan 5 rivals Khan going full "playtime is over" on orks.

Necro but the meme exists because of the awful hair on all the Raven Guard heads and the stupid jumppack wings. Also, when the Night Lords exists and are the full send edgy lightning claws and shadows legion, the Raven Guard end up looking like the PG-13 'safe' version of them on a surface level.

Oh and what do Raven Guard and Night Lords have in common that you conpare them? They like jump packs, okay, but that's it. They have a different design, different strategies, different philosophies and so on

@@azarael77 Fair enough on the head designs, I haven't been in the hobby long enough to know that they came after the meme. The wings look edgy because theyre completely superfluous but 'cool' looking, really just a personal preference thing, but I think more people lean to the 'they look dumb' side. As I said, lightning claws, jumppacks, 'stealth'/shadows, surgical strikes, and being aloof/brooding. I'm not saying they're the same, but on a surface level for people who aren't interested in these legions or reading their stories, a lot of the time Raven Guard end up looking like a lamer/tamer version of the Night Lords, especially models wise. (I like both btw. not trying to dunk on the RG.)

I would assume the scale armor design of Alpharius/Alpha Legion is because the whole Hydra aesthetic. You know "Hydra Dominatus" and 3 headed serpent. Cut off one head 3 more will take its place.

Hating on the scale mail for Alpha Legion and calling it fish like is abit dumb, their whole thing is being the Hydra. NEVER HEARD OF SNAKES HUH?

Scoring based on eating sand is a bad idea seeing as any primarch and space marine can and will eat sand for sustenance. A Space Marine without regular sustenance will chow down on scrap metal

Lore nitpick, 34 minute mark, space marine recruits go from scout to devestator to assault to tactical then to veteran.

it's always sad to see curze get such a low ranking he's a lot like angron where he's an awful terrible piece of shit but there is room for sympathy since a lot of their problems weren't a direct cause of them, unlike lorgar who's evil because he wanted to be right and didn't want to listen

Curze is by far the most interesting and misunderstood primarch. I could talk for ages about him and his worldview, how his abilities made him fall into total nihilism and just how, ultimately, he's fucking *right* about all of it. This then leads to him going further and further off the deep end until he's gone totally batshit insane from being locked into a series of events he can't escape, until he gets one final moment of clarity, enough to utter the most badass quote of all 40k lore; "Death is nothing, compared to vindication." He's probably my favorite primarch. He's an utter monster, a badass and he's fascinating to read about.

Eh, I kinda agree with what they said about him/them having a good premise and GW not messing him/them up yet- but I agree there should have been at least one more in S. (My pick is Fulgrim because I think he’s fun, but the actual other primarch in S can be whoever- I don’t think alpha/omegon are a tier of their own)

Corax: Revolutionary, sic semper tyrannis, guerilla fighter, primarch of the chapter that ate the most shit at the dropsight massacre, tried to rebuild his legion with tech straight from the emperor but got corrupted by the Alpha Legion and is now stuck with a bunch of avian mutant marines, leans into 40k's gothic setting the hardest with aesthetic and narrative. Yall: "lol emo D tier below the sand eater." Me: Neat. Downvote, do not recommend channel.
