Toy's videos are so fun to listen to. He deeply describes his subject and makes all the little details so interesting and captivating. A true story teller.

I played a priest for years and never stayed shadow/discipline for more than two hours at a time, until wotlk came out. Super broken and fun in wotlk. lol

Against most suggestions I am going holy. Hope it works out.

I was having a hard time deciding if I wanted to go human or NF for shadow priest. Human has the very tantalizing free pvp trinket while NF has their own mini vanish. I decided to go with NF since with shadow priest, you practically get the free pvp trinket with Dispersion anyways. So, you kinda get the best of both worlds if you pick NF for shadow priest

Dispersion is not like a PvP trinket. Dispersion should rarely be used to get rid of CC cause it’s your main survivability ability.

That sounds really cool. It probably won't since we're getting the last balance patch of WotLK.

People have been severely underestimating Holy Priest and it's so bizarre to me man. I spent most of Wrath the first time around playing Holy (respeccing to Disc occasionally when needed) and if you'd asked me at the time, I would've said I think Holy is easily one of the strongest healers in the game. Having such a diverse toolkit for any situation is just *so powerful*, it's unbelievable. The ability I had to just enter a random pug and hard carry the hell out of the healing was mind blowing. So with so many people now looking forward to Wrath and talking about Holy as if it's one of the weakest healers and "doesn't really bring anything and probably won't have a spot in most raids", it literally feels like history is being rewritten or something, it's such a bizarre feeling. You've got to use virtually your entire toolkit though - for some reason I've seen a lot of priests over the years who get weird ideas in their heads about what's "optimal" and never stray from that. Like, at the end of Wrath I saw so many holy priests who thought their job was to be a renew spam bot with Prayer of Mending and Circle of Healing on cooldown, then they wonder why they're kind of just a worse druid. If you can anticipate raid damage and precast prayer of healing or pre-renew people before large damage spikes, staying ahead of the game, you can be an absolute god on a Holy Priest.

You can do all that, OR just spam chain heals on a resto shaman, with much better results.

@@myannai9115 I mean... not really? You might get *similar* results, but *better* results? It depends. The classes are quite different and are good for different reasons. Chain heal spam is no doubt strong, but it also requires you to be pretty much planted to the spot outside of the odd riptide cast, while holy priests are a hell of a lot more mobile and have much more freedom of movement. There's also some degree of reliance on people being reasonably close together for chain heal to be effective, while holy priest has the tools to heal people in all kinds of situations, whether stacked or halfway across the room from each other.

@@myannai9115 isn't resto shaman the weakest healer overall in wotlk? I mean shaman in general seems quite weak, other classes provide the same or better utility and more healing throughput / DPS.

I've just always preferred Disc. Bubblin just a fun playstyle to me so is penance

i thought spell downranking wasnt a thing anymore in wrath, can someone confirm this?

The spell ranks technically exist in your spellbook, but they all have the same mana cost, so there's no reason to ever downrank. The only time people will downrank is if they forgot to put the latest rank on their bars while levelling up haha

Hi, thanks for the video! Playing mmo rpg for the first time, chose to be a Holy Priest, lvl 68 atm, and abt to get dualspec. But after watching this i am thinking abt removing Holy & having Disc and Shadow instead? Would love to get your experienced opinion on this. PS pvp is my pain: getting killed by my lvl players and fast. Also wanna be useful to my friends so maybe Disc healer is better?

Spriest is best 1v1 hands down. Ele is very good too, but probably takes more skill and can be more powerful in BG/arena

@@Toyhouze im having trouble because i played warrior mostly and got to like 1700 with good people in old TBC. But now i am a seasoned player that just wants the meta with lack of thinking to enjoy myself during downtime. For ranged im stuck between Hunter, Shadow Priest, Ele and Mage- which one do you think is the most noob friendly in both BG and Arena and easy to climb the ladder w/?

Does Undead Shadow priest have any chance against melee classes in WOTLK? Playing it in TBC, and I'm in a wheelchair here

Either you using the wrong gear or not playing right, Spriest shine at melting down meles. If it's a burst problem you might not have enough resilience? Or you are not using vamperic but if you are shadow damage not high enough? I dunno but you shouldn't be a wheelchair against meles.

@@kowalskizapata3058 Yeah, i got over 300 res atm, and I start to feel the different. It's rogues I have a problem with. They got so much cd's on everything, that u just cant do shjit. I throw everything I got. I use Devouring plauge on melee only, so I can get some health with the other dots too. Then spaming dmg + renew, prayer of mending. Guess I need about 400 res to have a chance.

Can they pair with a lock in arenas?

Nah, Priest/Lock is pretty shitty in 3.3.5, C tier as Aff / B tier as Destro.

Well as most ppl say holy on top bottom of healers in general, ill gladly prove them all that they r wrong, priests are the most complet and complex healing class to play with so many options of healing, burst aoe burst single dots mass dispells abolish poisons you name it, just look at holy solo heals icc 10 man hc, you will not find a disc duing any solo's for shure... same thing i heard shamans will outheal priests wen BT was out with theyr full tier... yeah still waiting to see that happening... Holy is the most compleat healer in wow, if you wanna play basic 1 button class go shaman or pally still wont get top of meters

Actually Warriors, Dks and Druids are broken, but you can beat all them with a Shaman enhancement.

There is really no reason to play holy priest. Just go disc. The shield you can spam is immensely effective and has no counterpart from the other healers.

@@DovahTank what raid in wotlk doesn't have a rdudu or rsham? I've played disc on Warmane for years and maybe two or three raids (10 mans) only had me and an hpal. There's always a rdudu or rsham

@@smokeydabandit5608 wotlk is not equal to warth classic and not equal to private servers. There will be guilds who won't have them. Right now my guild doesn't have an s priest in TBC classic.
