What I love the most about this movie is how lost Lizzie's family was to the evolution of Lizzie's feelings for Mr. Darcy because everyone was so focused on Jane's drama with Bingley. It's the funiest part of the story, because they don't notice anything, even when it happens right in front of their faces - like when Lizzie & Darcy are mooning over each other across the room in Bingley's proposal scene! -. I mean, they had reasons to not notice, but I kind of like that, for everyone in the story, Elizabeth & Darcy happened on the side to Jane & Bingley's main romance

Ladies I have to recommend - if you love period dramas you should watch the 2004 version of “North and South” with Richard Armitage. It’s similar in many ways to Pride and Prejudice (although admittedly much more grounded and it deals with a lot of social issues of the time). I haven’t seen anybody on KZread react to it, and I feel like it fits your vibe

"The thing about his actor is that I think he's only ever been hot in this movie" Well not exactly, he played Hareton in a 90s adaptation of "Wuthering Heights" and I think he was hot in that, and I loved that adaptation because Heatclif wasn't hot in my opinion, which I like because it's a story of revenge, not a love story, the love is between Hareton and Chatherine's daughter Catherine, not Cathering and Heathcliff

What a great reaction! I actually live near where they filmed Mr Darcys house, it's called Chatsworth house and you can go and visit there, I've been a few times and even been camping in the grounds for a special event. Also you can indeed have blonde hair and have a dark haired sibling, I have strawberry blonde straight hair (a variant of the ginger gene) and my only brother has black curly hair, I inherited mine from my dad and he inherited his from my mum, DNA is a lot more complicated than most people realise. I always watch this movie in winter when I'm feeling a bit low, I just stumbled on your reaction and it really cheered me up, it's nice to see other people who totally get how great this film is.

This is his most mouthwatering, but I thought he was quite attractive in Wuthering Heights, The Three Musketeers, the remake of Howards End, and what a freaking _treat_ to have both Matthew MacFadyen and Richard Armitage in MI-5. 🤤🤤🤤 He was quite cute in that, and Richard could get it any time.

As a Millennial, nothing proves to me how timeless Pride and Prejudice (and this adaptation of it) is than Gen Z hurling their slang at it. Case in point: 17:52 "It's giving, it's givinnnng!" How about the Colin Firth miniseries? While the movie is a beautiful adaptation of P&P as a rom-com (of a subgenre that P&P actually started), the 90s miniseries is the most accurate representation of the book. It most likely won't be your favorite, but it would make for an excellent reaction video.

Hey there! I always look for new P&P reactions on yt but I usually ignore the videos where people have already seen it 'cause first time reactions are my favorite. I still decided to watch yours and I'm so happy I did 'cause you girls are so funny & I love your vibe, you seem like the type of girls I would be friends with lol. That's why I decided to leave a comment (which I never do on yt), I thought it would seem weird because of my username (I made it like that yearsss ago & never changed it) BUT then I saw your other video and the fact you two also love "A Knight's Tale" made me realize you'd probably be the only people who'd recognize the name :) Anyways, as for recommendations, I've seen every possible Jane Austen adaptation (movies, miniseries, Clueless lol) and everything similar to it, so the thing I'd recommend is "North & South" - it's a miniseries, 4 episodes, but I'd say it's the closest thing you'd find to P&P, enemies to lovers type thing, broody main guy lol it's SO GOOD, even if you don't do it for a video I still recommend watching it :)

Oh, I'm so glad I found this video! Love your reactions girls! I watch this movie at least once a month, totally a comfort movie... I love it! With my sister we used to watch it together when we were younger. When I first watched it, I had already watched to 1995 miniseries (and read the book) but I still loved this movie so much! I was surprised at how handsome Darcy is ...I actually was commenting that with a friend that watched it first time in 2019 and she found him sooo attractive, she didn't expect it either. The gestures and the body language, the landscapes...and of course the actors! So good! Actually this actor got the part because he and Keira did "that almost kiss" on his casting, on the chemistry test when they were acting together for the part and it was totally off script! Anyway, if you want to watch another period drama series of enemies-to-lovers, you guys can watch the 2004 version of "North and South" with Richard Armitage... he is so swoon worthy...that's another series I watch for comfort...yay to happy endings!

I absolutely adore P&P . I like the mini series with Colin Firth and I remember catching the 1940 version with Sir Laurence Olivier and Greer Garson on the Late Late show as a kid BUT this is my favorite. O I forgot to mention I love Colin in some other crazy versions of this Bridget Jones Diary, I watched for him and not Renee , What a Girl Wants to name a few. I even loved Colin in Love Actually which has an all star cast. Is fun at Christmas time. Finally, I have to agree with the this is the only movie I found Matthew sexy in that he has played in ;0

Gah, I miss you two so much! Have you seen Wickham pull a 180 in The Young Victoria (2009)? Still hoping you two try out Priceless (2006) with Audrey Tautou, I think it's still on Amazon Prime. SO good. You'll just have a grin on yer face the whole time.

Choke the mother for allowing Lydia to behave like that. And then act as if nothing happened when she came home, after she almost ruined everybody else's life. If she was self centered, who did Lydia learni it from. Not to say that everything your child does is necessarily the parents fault every time. She would not have been coming for a visit after she did that to the rest of my family. Mr. Bennett also should have been more strict with both Mrs Bennett and Lydia.

If you know then you know. It takes a certain kind of person to read books for days or watch things for hours just to finally get one special 10 second moment. Like you, I am one of those people. I’ve read Pride and Prejudice at least 20x and I’m almost certain I’ve seen every possible movie adaptation made. Like everyone I have my favorites. This is not my favorite version but this is one of my most favorite Mr Darcy portrayals. He’s so perfect! His line delivery makes me melt. I also just love Rosamund Pike in this as Jane. She’s so beautiful. It’s just Keira Knightley that ruins it for me. It’s something about her mouth and how she juts her whole chin forward like she’s Jay Leno every time she talks. It really bugs me. Every time I hear her talking I want to chew my own face off. Maybe it’s just me. Lol! Great video though. I’d love to see you both do other versions as well.
