Bob Barker would have played this up by continuing the game. He would have put the price tag back on after everyone had seen it, then asked the contestant for her next guess, and after she "guessed" $21,960, would have played up the drama like "boy, this is EXCITING isn't it? I wonder why she picked that one?" and gone through with a big dramatic reveal as if everyone didn't already know she had won.

That was a historic moment right there

No Bob Barker would just go with the flow I think and would laugh it off. I say this because he made many mistakes and had to give technical wins because of it so it would be hypocritical of him to bash anyone else for making a mistake. He would be a lot more sarcastic about it though.

Unlikely. BB made many mistakes, including "giving away" prizes. As long as its handled with grace and style, it makes for excellent TV. As they say, you can't buy that kind of publicity.

Bob would have put the tag back on the board and had the contestant "guess" the correct price even after having already seen it. She would obviously have picked the right tag and he would have said "you're a winner! congratulations." That is usually how he handled a price being revealed prematurely for any reason. Although it was always either his own fault or a malfunction on a game board that caused it - there was never a circumstance of a model prematurely revealing a price in his tenure.

@@kldeshesky she explained in an interview that normally that buzzer noise goes off after a wrong guess meaning, they lost, so (if you’ve taken psychology of any level and know what conditioning is) instinctively, after doing this for 6 years, that noise triggered her to do what she normally does, which is reveal the remaining prices. It really is just a slip of the mind, human thing to do. It’s actually not even a big deal, this show has so much money, a $20k car isn’t anything to them. But she reacts embarrassed and worried because in the moment she just gave away $20k on national tv AND that’s a lot of money in general. She probably thought she was going to be in a bit of trouble. But she also said the producers laughed and said it was a great tv moment
