My home pages headline was "GW disappointing everyone" This kind of consistency from GW is truely remarkable.

A good burd-doggo-boi... and yeah that looks like an Enslaver, WHICH STILL EXIST, and make their way into modern lore every once in awhile. That's pretty cool. If enslavers get made they should make Rak'gol

Must admit I love the much more textured fur on the Gryph-hound. As for the skull, I get spore mine vibes from it, but it also feels Necromunda which could lie with the rumoured Genestealer Cult Gang.

As a gryph-hound lover, I can't say I agree. The issue for me is that all the previous sculpts had feathers, since the gryph-hounds aren't dogs, they're dog-sized *griffons,* just without the wings.

@joshuadarrow the other alternative is that they're trying to match him in with the grizzled veteran Reclusians. I'm not too fussed either way my collection of Stormcast is minimal.

With the holes on the side, I'm guessing Genestealers. Some sort of facehugger-type flying drone.

What I take from this is that Kirioth’s kids are growing up on a hive world. 23 hour days in the manufactorum, glory to the emperor.

This was the first video I’ve watched in today’s KZread-athon whilst doing chores. Thank you Kirioth, I’ve now started my day with a chortle. Love your work, including in this deranged structure.

Enslavers are about the only thing that would get me back into 40k. I've wanted them for 20 years, so I really hope it is one - it certainly looks a lot like one, and recent lore says they have multiple variants of differeing size (read Astorath astorath of mercy, it aso clarifies they try to hide from chaos using natural warp fields and other stuff)

Perfect sales pitch, the random oratory chaos is what I'm here for, reveals be damned. Ramble on!

Now I'm not saying that bulbous thing resembles a specific parasitic critter on Earth, I will simply say... SPOOOOOOON!

The skull thing looks like it could be some kind of drone for the Van Saar Gang rumoured to be in the Secundus box, they already have spider based tech with the Arachni Rig and are the tech boys of Necromunda. Plus it has similarities to the Sump Spider featured in one of the Apocrypha Necromunda PDF's so makes sense you would make a scout drone look like a feared bug from the environment. Or I could be thinking too much.

My vote on the skull thingy is also necromunda.

The floating thing is 95% necromunda. The sculpt fits into the necromunda art style, almoet looks like its resin with some details looking more inlime with GW resins vs plastic. Plus the paint scheme looks more necromunda's 'eavy-metal-plus than the standard 'eavy metal every other line gets.

The "xeno-beachball" looks a bit like a baby Enslaver. Imagine if GW made them a faction for 40k? That would be cool. Rangda perhaps??

Would it though? Like, what do you want out of an Enslaver faction in 40k? What would the difference be between, for example, an Imperial Guard army and an Imperial Guard army eNtHrAlLeD bY tEh EnSlAvErS? A mandatory HQ choice and a couple of thematic stratagems?

@@sevatarlives185 If it were a full Rangda army, it'd have Enslavers (and the enslaved), Slaught and their horrific flesh machines, those bio-mechanical monsters who eat people, and the Jellyfish-like craft they ride on. That'd easily make a full army, and GW would no doubt flesh them out further: An horrific; Giger-esque/Lovecraftian army of Bio-mechanical terrors; which even the Emperor forbade people to speak of. Who knows? Perhaps they came from the "Deep Warp" or whatever it's called. Entities from a place daemons fear to go.

@@Pemmont107 ok, but I think you must admit there is heavy overlap between a Tyranid&GenCult army and what you are describing. Unless the minis look exceptionally cool, they would basically be redundant as a faction. That said, I do respect that I might be underestimating the potential a Rangda/Enslaver army could have. Sorry. I'm not being a downer. I think Enslavers are creepy and scary and unique in the 40K universe. I just don't think they have much business appearing with grand expanded armies in 40K proper. Take the Custodes, Deathwatch, Grey Knights or "Imperial Agents" as an example of what I mean. It's cool to be able to take a small number of these elite, esoteric troops as allies to your main force- it adds character and depth, as well as tactical advantage. Full armies of GK, DW etc, however, look and play like garbage because instead of doing one thing well (in terms of concept&design, or rules balance) they have to fill out an entire army list, which necessarily entails reduplicating very similar units in very similar armies. GenCult, and possibly the new Kroot Auxilliaries on the other hand actually do this very well by specifically pointing out that there will be gaps in their lists that need to be filled by T'au allies, or tainted Brood Brothers or whatever. I just think of Enslavers as like Zoats. Really cool guys on the weirder fringes of the 40K Universe, and better suited to smaller-scale games like Necromunda. I could write a hell of a narrative campaign where a Delaque gang has become dominated by an Enslaver who is the campaign BBEG, for example. Not saying "I'm right, you're wrong," it's all just opinion.

The floaty skull (as others have suggested) resembles some of the lore art work for enslavers. That being said I doubt it’ll be a new faction for 40k or something of that nature, could be a ‘wild encounter’ for necromunda or something. Maybe a new ‘disconnected enslaver drone’ or a genetic descendant of some kind?

Pretty confident it's an Enslaver. Maybe instead of GSC in the new Necromunda expansion it's a few Enslavers who've taken control of the doomed "whatsitsname" hive.

That facehugger looks like it comes straight from Rick and Morty.

I think this Gryph-Hound is meant to look more wolf-like, with its grey-black coloration and its longer, fluffier tail. Plus, I like how much more fur it has compared to the standard Gryph-Hounds, which are usually just skin below the neck. But this one has fur along the neck where there would usually be feathers. Along the shoulders and chest and of course, the tail. Although that section of fur above the collar is sculpted in a way that you could paint to look like feathers if you wanted to, which is cool. This is a VERY good Gryph-Hound! As for the other model. . . I'm guessing Necromunda. It has that kind of rough-hewen vibe that Necromunda models tend to have.

Well to be fair, the neck "fur" on gryph-hounds isn't fur, it's feathers, since they're griffons. Gryph-hounds are only dogs in the sense that they act and are the size of dogs. Otherwise they're a lion-eagle hybrid. Can't say I'm a fan of this re-design.

The parasitic bug thing is am Enslaver. They had a make your own guide back into the day.

Looking forward to seeing the preview of the Dame Helen Mirren model, I bet she’ll be released for Blood Bowl.

Is that an enslaver? I mean its cool they might be making one but why? What army would it go with? Certainly not chaos or daemons because enslavers are neither, and there arent any other unaligned warp entities to form their own army. Maybe its an all enslaver army that takes control of the opponents units and spawns more from the reserves? That could be cool i guess but its too gimmicky
