I'm really hoping Boston wins in 7 and then get swept in the second round

If the Leafs Bruins goes to 7, I think this would be the first time the pressure is less on Toronto than their opponent. The Bruins would have to avoid blowing back to back 3-1 leads on home ice, whereas by now the bar is so low for the Leafs, even the fans are clowning on them.

That's a shame about Hodgson. I was worried that was the reason when the Admirals released him from his PTO. He contributed quite a bit to this season's success.

It's fantastic to see Ingram doing so well after entering the players programme, he's made an insane improvement since being over here in Sweden playing in "Hockeyallsvenskan" which is our second tier league.

Never understood the Hodgson hate. Kudos for trying it one last time. 8 points in 13 games shows if he was healthy, he might have gotten a PTO. Good luck Cody.

Blues fan here. Will forever love Petro for the 2019 Cup, but it seems his game has become chippier and chippier. Last year’s 2-handed slash on Draisaitl and last night’s backhand punch in the face on Seguin are 2 examples. I’m wondering if he’s starting to lose a step and taking out his frustrations. ???

Soooooo when do people start seeing Petro as dirty player? Does anyone remember last year against Edmonton and his slash against Leon Draisaitl?

Remember what happened to Benn last year? He was out of the lineup and Dallas won 2 against Vegas? Yeah same thing is happening for the Leafs with Matthews

I get it I get it I get it, playoffs are different from the regular season. I know a FLA/BOS matchup feels bad for Boston and if they get they they may very well lose. But listening to all the media about that potential 2nd round match up, no one is remembering that Boston was 4-0 vs FLA this season....Yes I know regular season. I get it. FLA may win a series against BOS, but I don't think it would just be a floor wiping either. 7-4 against FLA over the last 11.

Imagine making that much money and not being available when it REALLY..like REALLY SUPER matters..On an organizational level. Not because of a broken leg or something, but because you arent feeling well.

Last year FLA/BOS went to Game 7 OT. This year BOS beat FLA all three games. Just because Tampa got spanked doesn't mean BOS will follow suit. Will BOS get to the cup finals, no. Is there a chance to beat FLA... definitely.

Pal, the regular season means absolutely nothing.. The Jets beat Colorado handily in every game they played this season, yet they got absolutely demolished and should have lost in 4 games (Colorado goalie was nice enough to be absent in game 1 and throw Winnipeg a win). Boston wouldn't get more than 1 game against Florida.

Fact is they need this win to push for game 7. Game 5 they push hard and got the opening goal which then also need tonight. They showed they can win a game without Mathew’s and to me that says something about the team. If they can win this game then game 7 I hope they can take Boston out of the playoffs. Not sorry for any Boston fan lol

I dont think the Leafs are better without Matthews in general but I think the team is better without him than they are with him playing but he isnt at his best. The Leafs sometimes put too much effort into getting the puck to Matthews that they hurt themselves so it becomes reliant on Matthews scoring, sometimes multiple goals.

I hate to speculate but I imagine Matthews must have gotten himself an injury while trying to play through his illness. Whether dehydration or something else contributed, I would not be surprised if it comes out later that he’s nursing something significant. Hockey Players lace them up through broken bones, among other things. It either has to have career threatening or even life threatening potential for him to be in stands watching back to back games. Just my two cents.

It dosent matter who wins this series. Boston or Toronto. The next team to challenge is Florida and they are in final boss mode. They are deadly. Is say, SC winner favourites even. Toronto or Bruins have no chance

Because Matthew's doesn't score in the playoffs only the regular season yeah he scored a nice goal in game 2 but 1 goal all playoffs and then he can't play unreal that's why people ate saying whatever and for some werid reason they seem to play better when he's not in the line up I understand your the hockey guy that looks at all the stats But I watch every Leafs game glued to the TV so it's Noticeable how they play is all my friend 🤷‍♂️

The hate that Matthews gets is not weird at all. Totally disagree. Matthews is hated because he’s hyped up all the time as some crazy amazing player, and yet his team always ends up doing poorly, and the reason for that is because he only cares about his own goal numbers. Players like McDavid and Kucherov are great because they care about setting up the best scoring chance for their team everytime, rather than trying to boost their own goal numbers. Matthews wants the spotlight and it’s exhausting hearing about it when he’s such a self centred player. Imagine how his team would perform if he used his skills to bring up his team mates scoring opportunities.

Really? Pietrangelo knew what he was doing was wrong? Like when he tried to cut off Leon draisaitls hands last year, and still was allowed to raise the cup? But no he is not a dirty player... 😂🤣🤣🤣

Whoever wins between Boston and Toronto is irrelevant, because neither one of them look good, and whoever does win is going to get absolutely stomped by Florida in 5 games.

The hate Matthews gets is weird? Do you remember how much hate Ovechkin has gotten over the years for anything and everything he has done/hasn't done? If Matthews wasn't at least from NA, the amount of flak he takes would instantly be tripled. See, the way it works is, Canadian players = perfect at everything, American players = pretty good, depends on what team they play for, and everybody else = trash compared to North-Americans. Just ask the 95% Canadian hockey media. Hell, you yourself have named Matthew Tkachuk the MVP (or something along those lines) of Florida Panthers, over Aleksander Barkov.

Vancouver vs Edmonton is easy, Oilers still have terrible D and no goalie MCDavid and Drai have a bit more help up front but it's still an awful team on the whole

Okay so firstly, Vancouver hasn't even advanced yet, let's not put the cart before the horse. Secondly, you're going completely off of old tropes and have absolutely no clue what you're talking about if you genuinely think the Oilers defense are terrible and that they have bad goaltending. Did you just crawl out from a cave from 2023? I guess you can't expect much more from Canucks fans. The Oilers D have been very good, and their goaltending is also good. Vancouver without Demko are the definite underdogs against Edmonton right now in a Bo7 with how the two teams currently stand. Odds will probably will be around 60-40 in favor of Edmonton going into game 1 if Vancouver does advance.

The oilers do have subpar defense, sure not as bad as it once was but it's not contender tier at all and every single one of the Canucks goalies have a better SV% than Skinner. I understand you're an Oilers stan in their feelings but please use some reasoning.

Leafs and Bruins are inferior and inferiority is keeping this series going. Neither has a chance of winning a Stanley Cup this run…That said GO BRUINS! Let’s fly back to Boston alone…
