I would say that his work with Manchester City is just as good despite the fact that he has not had the aesthetics and the brilliant game that he had at Barça with Xavi, Messi, Alves, Iniesta, line by line that team had perfect players for him - style of play, they fit him like a glove and several players in the starting eleven are among the best in history. However, his current work does reach the splendor of that mythical Barça. He knew how to adapt to modern football with the same idea, with different players and in another league, he is a genius.

His current work just shows how good barcelona were, he had to spend a billion euros and a decade to get back on the top spot in Europe. With Barcelona he did it in a year. Pep knows very well that he struck a gold mine with Barcelona and has since tried to recreate it in aggregate because its hard to find players like messi, xavi and iniesta.
