Great video MP...love it when you bring us the special auctions and hearing the background. My father was a registered Holstein man and he attributes buying equipment and finding out the history/care on it, like buying cattle with a pedigree...some have better than others. These guys were top-notch operators. As being a fellow "fussy" guy myself (I too keep notebook records and write notes on equipment), the only thing I see that ya gotta watch is taking maintenance and care to that level, takes a lot of energy and can really wear you out mentally bc you always want things to work right and things "just so"; however, as we all know, equipment has it's quirks (especially ones w/ a lot of electronics).

Our line of equipment was sold by this group at Renwick IA 5 year,s ago and yes every auction has a story my wife and I have been in court telling our story ever since they still have our titled truck,s on their lot and we hold the bank lien free title,s WHY ?

It's sad to see something like this go away. Was there a reason for the retirement? I know most farms get passed down through the family and kids and all that. Idk it's just sad to see such an established farm just stop I guess u can call it.
