Ehhhh main Vegapunk has wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many actual moral scruples and decency in general to be Rick. Plus yeah both do feed into a capitalist system for the currency they need for inventions but Vegapunk feels bad about it while Rick usually doesn't and is more "eh the universe sucks anyway why care too much about the details" on those things.

Space Dandy was awesome

i kinda hope that isn't the same rick, basically i don't want it to be c137 so that this can be a canon rick to the original show, this can be rick in another universe. this rick so far seems more chill and nice at least so far, so i think it'd make more sense to be a different Rick. plus this one lives in a Japan like area in this show it seems? so yeah, I'd say this is a different Rick.

I kind of hope its a side story or a short series running in parallel to the main R&M season.

They took a meme concept and put their chips in on it

i disagree. i like the style, it's unique. it can certainly work just fine for a full series. it's the writing and 3d animation that we should be more worried about. we don't know how well the writing will go, but i have hope it'll be decent.. as for the 3d animation, yikes. i saw them give us a sneak peak of this show and it has 3d animation fight scene.. not great 💀 i think the 2d animation here on it's own would be way better than 3d animation
