You nailed it! Through my own research and experience I did exactly what I heard you suggested, (with a small addition) and I didn’t get a single blister when I walked the entire Camino Frances 500 miles; St. Jean Pied de Port to Finisterre. I wore Altra shoes, applied Vaseline, brought wool and immediately applied when needed and walking in my shoes before the trip. 👍🏼 Another thing I know you do but didn’t mention for happy feet, is properly using walking poles; helps take the load off the feet and knees. The second thing is starting out slow, get your feet acclimated. I stopped at Orisson, and was SO glad I did. I knew I could power through but decided to be kind to my feet. What I did a bit different and worked beautifully for me was, I wore Injinji toe sock liners with my Darn Tough socks. Loved, Loved that combination! Highly recommend! I also bought my Altra shoes 1 and a half size bigger. I know, I know “duck feet” you are thinking. That was my first thought but I listened to the experts and was so glad I did. There was enough room for my toes and the two pairs of socks. My second pair of shoes were basic Tevas, just for the evenings, never had to use them for my walk. I did take a third 😬, Gap flip-flops for the shower, flat and light, worth it. “Happy feet Happy Camino” Buen Camino 🚶🏻‍♀️

Loving your clips and (you know this?!?) you are both legends❣️😁 Gr8 tips✅ I recently did Del Norte by e-bike (I know big mistake as runs out of power after 50-60kms on a 70 - 85km day!🙄) but for attempted good e-bike karma I did heaps of free first aid ⛑️ for hikers blisters (ok so I could have a chat with ppl all over the world 😃😊) & you are spot on with your tips 👍. (Next my Le Puy-en-Velay to Fisterra by bike (not e-) Oct 2024 again ⛑️ Keep up the Gr8 work 👍👌😉

Hi! Thanks for your comments. Running out of power on the Norte…what a bummer! Le Puy to Fisterra - that’s a long one! How long will that take by bike?
