Sad that people only talk of the Prussian influence on Sweden, and not the opposite...Sweden was a great power too during the 1600s and early 1700s. More than half of the German coast belonged to Sweden for several hundered years. Blücher for example fought in the Swedish army before joining the Prussian. So there has been a fair share of traded culture between them so it should be common knowledge that they have influenced each other.

First time I ever marched on to a parade square with a band it was to this music. RMAS 1987, as we marched the Colour Sergeant from the Royal Irish - in time to the step - reeled of the name of about 10 famous British Generals who had also marched on - an late off - that square; made the hair on the back of my neck stand up!

That’s not the “Stechschritt”. The Stechschritt is exercised at thigh height and was only used during guard switches with three soldiers. It was also never exercised so slowly but at 114 Beats per minute. The only thing Prussian here is the music and the helmet, nothing more.

As well the cut and style of the uniform the color is different but the color Insignia and the general way that the tunic is made and built is the same as well the marching style is slightly different the arms don't bend like in the German style they stay firm and most of the time you march with your rifle slung or holding the rifle from the middle

@@carpetclimber4027 no the Prussian style March and uniform came from the Kingdom of Prussia and then was later adopted by the German Empire then in the 1800s Sweden got friendly with the German Empire and we adopted a bunch of things from them for example Sweden manufactured Mauser rifles until the 1950s as well look at the uniforms those are Prussian style uniforms we adopted a bunch of things from the German Empire. The problem with Germany not being able to gust up anymore nowadays is mostly due to their politics and the fact that apparently Germans aren't allowed to be proud of their country anymore because if not they get called Nazis the last German Army to Goose stuff was in East Germany.
