Interscope didn't spent on promoting her debut album (Me, You and the Music) in US and produced limited supply of it! That's why radio stations didn't even have copies of it! Jessica is more famous outside US esp. in Asia where her album sales went multi-platinum and her first sold-out solo concert in the Phils. was a success. Her US$2-M NET Worth/earnings ONE year after Idol is far more better than other Idol winners/finalists. Her other talent aside from singing were modeling for clothes/apparels and for int'l fashion/beauty magazines & journals, endorsing products, TV ads/commercials and performed at various Big-time political, historical, White House, charitable and sporting events watched by millions of people worldwide. At ages 17-18, her success has started and much more to come in the future.

My thoughts exactly! I have always felt that the two finalists should have been Jessica and Joshua Ledet. Dude's voice was crazy amazing and his performances always had me glued to the television. Jessica's voice was always so rich and effortless. That would have been an AI finale for the gods!

I've always liked this song and really this version of it. You have amazing vocals, love how strong your voice is!

She has no fancy microphones and uses acoustics but yet has so many subscribers- that shows pure talent

At least, I think she is on Beyonce's vocal level. Personally, I think she's actually more controlled with more finesse than Beyonce in some of her performances because she easily and effortlessly projects without doing so many riffs and runs, only placing them where she sees fit. She actually allows her natural voice to flow over the melody while sings the song instead of singing AT the song if that makes sense. I am also aware though that because Beyonce is...Beyonce, people hate for her to be compared to someone who isn't as famous as she is even when they are obviously just as vocally capable, as if you are insulting Beyonce because you think someone younger is just as talented as she is with the potential to be better. When you voice that opinion, people say things like "Well Beyonce can sing and dance simultaneously and Jessica can't" as if that takes away from the fact that Jessica is still just as capable vocally. No one mentioned dancing as this is not a dancing video, and the fact that people have to bring up Beyonce's extra talents during a discussion of vocal capability comparison says something...

You raised a good point. She's one of few singers that can sing without all the studio bells and whistles and still sound great.

Manny A Jessica's one of the few artists that can belt out a live vocal just as good as the studio version (because she does not need auto-tune). Jessica's been developing that magnificent voice box from the age of 2 - all those years of dedication with more than a pinch of natural born talent brought her to a stage where singing is as natural as talking. Hell sitting on the couch legs crossed!!! I bet Jessica sings in her sleep - echoing your sentiments Rick T / Manny A

And that's why I follow this girl's career. I'm 52 and am fortunate to have at least 3 special vocalists in The mainstream to have the privilege of listening to. Barbra Streisand, Freddie Mercury, and Jessica. Believe it or not it has nothing to do with their range, it's their tonal qualities that I love listening to. When Jessica learns how to interpret songs the way Barbra can, she's gonna be phenomenal. That will come with maturity and Jessica is way ahead of herself already.

Her voice is just perfection. Best and I mean THE BEST I have ever heard besides Beyoncé and Céline Dion. Unbelievable
