For anyone wondering, this is a real bank heist from Argentina in 2006, and people loved it. You could say most took it as a revenge to the banks that stole so much money from people after the 2001 crisis

@@SamSitar The problem was that there was a recent shootout which ended in several hostages being killed in another robbery a couple months earlier. The cops were instructed not to enter the bank to avoid that from happening again, and the heisters knew it.

@@peoplez129 that's false. There have been LOTS of cases where that charge gets knocked down to a simple robbery when they find out the gun is fake. After all, if it is a fake gun, then it is not an ARMED robbery. It is a robbery.

Great recap of "The Heist of the Century"! The film had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, and your recap perfectly captured the tension and excitement. The robbers were portrayed as complex characters, and the level of planning and execution that went into the heist was truly impressive. Definitely worth a watch!

the cool thing is that pretty much the real story is just like the movie. Of course they brushed over some details because you cant put 1 yr planning into a 2 hour movie, but the real robbers were amazing

Just that in this case it's about safety deposit boxes which only have private belongings in it and not money or gold from the bank... sure insurance and stuff, but personal items are priceless.

Doesn't make any sense, you have to. Where'd you get the millions of dollars from working as a judo instructor, lol? She's not a moron. The only way you could hide it would be hiding and thus not enjoying the money, which defeats the purpose. The ACTUAL error is cheating, so she has no reason to be loyal to you anymore. Not saying anything to your spouse is impossible and dumb, but not cheating is entirely possible, and as we can see, she stayed perfectly quiet prior to that, just fine.

It's not a matter of loyalty but a matter of self-preservation on her part. Kinda nice of the rest of the crew not to retaliate, but they were an exceptionally nice bunch.

It's obviously not possible to keep it a secret, unless you never spend the money. Thus, the problem was cheating, there's no logical reason to remain loyal anymore then. Prior to that, she was completely able and willing to and did stay quiet, because he gave a reason to be loyal to him.
as an American raised in Argentina I respect these people and I suspect the cops did as well

Worth to mention they left a note wrote on the wall of the deposit room "No hard feelings, its just money." and I remember all the media shocked about that back on the robbery time.

This actually happened here in my country Kenya.. True life story.. Stole 50 million.. They were later captured unfortunately because the woman who was part of the heist time went around taking selfies with the money and its how they got to know the identity of the other crew members.

my uncle did this in Bulgaria with his friends. no guns literally dug a tunnel and went at night . security system wasnt that best happened before i was even born so big security systems werent a thing . he was never caught only 1 person from the group from spending stolen cash so the rest fled the country

And they were perfectly ABLE to keep their mouth shut and in fact did so until they no longer had a REASON to, because you cheated. That's not a lack of skill in silence, lol, that's a lack of any logical motivation to remain loyal.

@@gavinjenkins899 yeah, but its incredibly selfish to involve a dating personal life into an ENTIRE groups work, especially with guys who were more advanced and did more of the hardwork and planning, you are only looking at it from relationships and its immoral bc the other men in the group didn't cheat and kept a low profile, while other men ofc used it to be less stressful in their life or used it to feed their family bc they are financially struggling, her doing that just put the other men who worked hard to achieve the plan and keep hidden and their families in danger, its not always about you in life, think about others and their family, thats the culture

@@gavinjenkins899 Not really heard a story of a couple having a argument, the security showed up and because the girlfriend was so enraged she spilled the beans on everything. Even breaking up with someone and moving on will make them use your secrets against you. Stuff like phoning your work and telling your boss you like porn.

@@axel665 I'm not sure if it's in this movie, but generally safety deposits are like small box vault that you can rent to keep your valuables. In some place, even the Banks employees will not know what you store in your safety deposit box..
